The Kentucky Wesleyan commit has helped lead her team to a conference championship, and her play in the District Semifinals showed that she is not ready for her season to be over yet. The Point Guard has deep range and is a very consistent 3-point shooter, but she showed that she can get in the lane and finish through contact in her semifinal win. Bruwer and teammates have a big task ahead, taking on a Kent City team who have won six consecutive titles, but they might have the team to stop the streak.
Highlights
Saugatuck team, led by Simpson, has been able to clinch a conference title and has an impressive record of 22-1. Brook, an athletic guard, has been a pivotal player for the team, contributing significantly on both offensive and defensive fronts. I believe Saugatuck has more to offer this post-season and will make a mark in the competition.
Highlights
Brumfield has helped lead her team to a conference championship and a 17-5 record. The Point Guard plays intense on-ball defense and runs an efficient offense. She will continue to get her teammates involved with her passing skills, and I think she will be holding up a District trophy tomorrow night.
The point guard from Allendale has been improving as the season progresses. Her ball-handling skills are exceptional and she has the ability to elevate the performance of her teammates. However, she faces a tough challenge against a talented Unity Christian team. It will be interesting to see if they can secure the District trophy.
Dykstra and her West Catholic team have already beaten Catholic Central once this season. However, it is always difficult to defeat a talented team twice. I believe that Dykstra’s exceptional play will help her team win the District trophy, as big-time players tend to show up in big-time moments.
