Saugatuck team, led by Simpson, has been able to clinch a conference title and has an impressive record of 22-1. Brook, an athletic guard, has been a pivotal player for the team, contributing significantly on both offensive and defensive fronts. I believe Saugatuck has more to offer this post-season and will make a mark in the competition.

Let’s be to the point on this one. Simpson is one of the most skilled players in the state and probably beyond that. Her upside can be considered one of the best out of any available seniors in the midwest.

In case any college coach is wondering, her knee is good and is a non concern. Simpson is known as an athletic scorer, but her defense stood out to me. She played denial D on the perimeter and played the passing lanes as well. Simpson really displayed a high defensive IQ. She had a handful of steals in the win against Black River. Simpson was incredibly patient on offense, not forcing up shots for the sake of numbers. She flaunted a nasty right to left crossover that ended up in her going to the free throw line.

play basketball? We’re entering year 4 of her making me smile and I still remember the 1st time at the PGH Michigan Top 250. Simpson was a humble freshman, standing out while matched up with some of the best players in the state. She’s now an elite athlete with college ready strength and determination. Simpson is one of the top playmakers in the mitten.

I could write all day about how gifted of a basketball player Simpson is. And that’s all true. But she’s also as loyal and supportive of a teammate as there is statewide. That’s a part of why I think that she’s one of the most valuable prospects to a program at the next level.

. She’s the type of athlete that probably could have been a star at whatever athletic activity or sport she chose. The Dayton commit is so silky smooth with ease of movement that reminds me of Sugar Ray.

Unfortunately Simpson will miss this season due to injury, but if you’ve seen her play, you know exactly why she’s so high on this list. She has already committed to the University of Dayton. Simpson is one of the most athletic playmakers in the midwest. She can play on or off the ball and makes herself a constant threat to score in either situation. Simpson can change pace and change direction at anytime, putting her defenders at an instant disadvantage.

I’ve seen her development from before her freshman season till now, and it’s been miraculous. Simpson has worked and been dedicated, all to become the best player that she can possibly be. That work ethic will take her far in itself. Simpson is an athletic playmaking guard that can score from all 3 levels.
