Taylor comes from a small town yet her game is on the verge of being big, well HUGE. I see her rising up the list after I catch more of her, she’s over “the magic number” yet the magic doesn’t stop there. Her handling the ball after rebounding, which she does on both ends, took me by surprise at the #simmiecolsonclassic yet her powerful finishes, court vision and facing the basket to score, as well as her interior defense, stood out as well
Williams has continued to elevate her game and she too was one of the BIGS that showed her on the court progression at the #simmiecolsonclassic. I had a chance to catch up with her this past weekend at her organizations’ intersquad games as well as a one day tournament the day after and her playing in pain and not letting up blew me away. The “hands and footwork” keep getting better, she’s becoming more fluid around the basket, as well as on defense yet her rebounding and getting the break going was another big plus
Highlights
Dollar left me speechless during the state tournament, well she has done that so many times, left me speechless, playing on the PGH Circuit. I recently did an article Small Town Huge Game after an event yet she is definitely a player that fits right in because she can flat out shoot the ball, while being defended and in the clutch, aka DOLLAR TIME. Her wining MVP and leading her team to the UIL 1A title was the icing on the cake yet what lit the candles is her dad was the coach
Galvan actually made the Small Town Huge Game article from #ThePrimeEvent and after catching her a couple of times this season, she’s definitely on to something. I love her composure and no matter the situation is, she stays under control yet watching her create her shot under pressure and knock it down with a hand in her face had me smiling in both events. She’s heady, reads the floor and makes good passes yet she also plays the passing lane. Her defense is solid, so is her upside
Sierra caught my attention in the 8th grade yet I lost track of her yet at the #simmiecolsonclassic she picked right up where she left off. Her frame and skillset are part of what’s intriguing about her game and when you factor in her desire and not backing down has her in the mix. She too wowed me with the “hands and footwork” yet her going after the ball off the rim and defending both in and outside the paint were all positives
