The Clash tournament in Hamilton, Ohio was the most spectacular facility and weekend of high-level competitive travel basketball I have ever witnessed. Countless travel teams came from across the country to compete April 19-21st in this NCAA Live-Period event. S-40, P-24, and independent circuit travel teams competed in front of 300+ D1, D2, and D3 college coaches across 28 courts at the Spooky Nook Sports Championship Mill facility. Here are a few 2027 prospects who impressed me as I watched their games courtside over the weekend.
<!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":["not_in_db"],"_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_0_player_details_selected_featured_image":897026,"_player_evaluations_0_player_details_selected_featured_image":"field_62cca28ffa4e7","player_evaluations_0_player_details_player_name":"[player_tooltip player_id='902241' first='Adhara' last='Blanc']","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_player_name":"field_62aba4c9ecf2f","player_evaluations_0_player_details_graduating_class":"2028","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_graduating_class":"field_62aba4ddecf30","player_evaluations_0_player_details_height":"5'5u0022","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_height":"field_62aba4e8ecf31","player_evaluations_0_player_details_position":"12123","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_position":"field_62aba4f0ecf32","player_evaluations_0_player_details_school":"Dwight","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_school":"field_62aba4fdecf33","player_evaluations_0_player_details_club_team":"United NJ","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_club_team":"field_62d20e723441a","player_evaluations_0_player_details":"","_player_evaluations_0_player_details":"field_62aba4afecf2e","player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"u003cstrongu003e[player_tooltip player_id='902241' first='Adhara' last='Blanc'] u003c/strongu003e(5'5, PG, 2028) put on a show for United NJ-15U-P24 at The Clash. Adhara is a stocky guard who combines her athleticism and fine tuned fundamentals to make impact plays on both ends. She is an effective outside shooter, knocking down a wing 3 and corner 3. Adhara saw her defender overplaying her and back cut for a layup. She stole the ball then utilized a spin dribble to create an open lane for an assist. Adhara anticipates passes and applies pressure to cause steals/deflections. She showed fancy footwork by making a fake pass one direction then passed around the defender inside for an assist. She exploded by a defender and used a hostage dribble to create separation to shoot a floater. Adhara threw a laser bounce pass in transition for an assist and has exceptional court vision. She is a strong, compact guard whose two-way play showed she has no problem playing up against elite competition.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["865288"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":["override_image"],"_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_player_featured_image":897038,"_player_evaluations_1_player_featured_image":"field_62f141137ead9","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"[player_tooltip player_id='865288' first='Leah' last='Kearney'] (2028) was an unstoppable force for United NJ-15U-P24 at The Clash. She knocked down a smooth mid-range jumper from the wing and used pound dribbles inside to beat her defender to draw a foul (knocked down both free throws). Logan breaks down on defense with quick lateral steps and in your face pressure to force turnovers baseline to baseline. Two parts of her game impressed me greatly: 1) verbally encouraging teammates and communicating on defense, 2) leaping into the chairs on the baseline to save a loose ball going out. At the most important moments she finished inside through hard fouls multiple times around the rim. Addi used strong seals to create passing lanes for entry passes and utilized a drop step to score. She showed her ability to pivot, face the basket in the high post, and drive downhill. Addi's toughness and efficient scoring helped fuel a comeback late for her team.
