1- As a coach, it was always easier for me to teach a kid how to defend than it was to teach them to be an effective scorer. Putting the ball in the basket is really hard.
2- We all say can agree that scoring is somewhat overrated, but I’ve yet to see a team win a game zero to zero. You must score to win…it’s simply the nature of the beast.
3- It’s the offseason. And we need hoops to talk about!

The 5’4 guard plays much bigger than her size. She saw her scoring average double this season from 10.6 to 19.2, and is sitting at 783 points. She should hit the 1,000 point mark by Christmas.

She’s been a bucket both seasons, averaging 14.6 and 19.3 in her freshman and sophomore years. She’s been on teams that have struggled to win games, but she’s carried her weight to the tune of 712 career points. She’ll be there by Christmas break.

She’s a diverse scorer that takes pride in playing both ends. I really like this kid because she doesn’t force the issue on offense and simply lets the game come to her. She saw her scoring average jump from 9 to 15 points per game, and is currently sitting at 572. She should be right at 1,000 point by season’s end.
Arnold is as steady as they come. The Cartersville product has started to add the 3 ball to her game, and her scoring numbers have gradually increased. She jumped from 9 points as a freshman to 12 as a sophomore, and now has 608 points to her name.
The PG averaged 14 points per game this season for Greater Atlanta Christian. She sitting at 636 points after averaging 14 points per game this year. That’s a 4 point increase from her freshman season.
The 5’8 combo guard is just plain good! She averaged 14 as a sophomore and 13 as a freshman, but if you watched–you saw the vast improvement. She doesn’t take bad shots, she rebounds (6.6 per game) and defends her tail off. The kid is a gamer, and is already sitting at 734 career points.
The 6’1 post had a really nice sophomore season. In all areas she improved, and her finishing ability around the rim took a major jump. Already a high level defender and rebounder, she averaged 12.4 points per game on 58! shooting (she shot 38%) as a freshman. She’s getting better by the minute, and is sitting on 817 points.
