About Hailey
Expert Analysis
Kyle Sandy | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Wortmann has steadily improved each season and has developed into one of Georgia’s most consistent double-double producers. She has soft touch around the rim and does an excellent job keeping the ball high when finishing, limiting strips and deflections.
She rebounds with purpose and understands positioning. As her comfort level attacking off the dribble grows, her offensive versatility expands. Wortmann doesn’t force the issue — she plays within herself while consistently producing. That reliability in the paint is valuable.

In a 49-38 loss to Carrollton, Hailey went 3-4 from the foul line and finished with 5 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 5 blocks. Wortmann wasn’t able to backdown Carrollton’s stout frontcourt members but still managed to positively influence the game by leaning on her defensive prowess. The high academic double-double machine is hearing from D-II and D-III programs.

inside, Wortmann held her own and was able to influence the game on both ends of the floor. Hailey altered shots and picked up steals, but her versatility on offense is what stood out most. She scored on a drive across the lane with a floater and showcased the ability to knockdown shots from the mid-range, all while still powering her way to buckets in the paint. Hailey tallied 14 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals and 4 blocks.

Has nice size. Needs to continue developing the ability to operate some on the exterior, but show’s really nice potential as a stretch big that can bang.

What is there not to love about Hailey’s game? When I went back to watch Hoop Atlanta play, I was left completely impressed with Hailey’s overall game! The 6’1 athlete has a tremendous frame and she knows exactly how to use it. A solid rim protector that makes opponents alter shots when she doesn’t block them! She is a rebounding machine and extremely hard to keep off the glass! In her first game, she finished with 18 points and 7 rebounds. She followed that performance up on Saturday morning with 4 blocks, 3 assists, 14 rebounds, and 6 points. She is a true stock riser in the class of ’26!

The 6’1 post had a really nice sophomore season. In all areas she improved, and her finishing ability around the rim took a major jump. Already a high level defender and rebounder, she averaged 12.4 points per game on 58! shooting (she shot 38%) as a freshman. She’s getting better by the minute, and is sitting on 817 points.
