Two other talented players from the 2028 group, Erica Taylor-5’8 G (Jarrell) and Lexi Tutor-5’11 F (Salado), weren’t in attendance but I’ll catch up with them soon
Ellie Mae Lester
Ellie Mae Lester
Lester captured my attention a couple of seasons ago with her proving #sizedontmatter when you can play. She’s heady, controls the ball under pressure to either attack or dish, she sees the floor very well at this stage, plus she doesn’t back down and attacks the basket strongly plus she can drop the jumper. One BIG thing was watching her making passes in transition going full speed, with either hand
Grace Dorr
Grace Dorr
Dorr will open many DOORS offensively because she’s crafty and understands how to not only create her shot under pressure but also create separation to get her shot off. She uses a deceptive first step to get to the rim and finish yet when she showed the step back and dropped the jumper, I just SMH yet her spin move in transition between two players had me spinning
Rich made split second decisions, wait the right split second decisions which speaks volumes about her upside and her handling the ball and seeing the floor in the open court was nice, so was her court vision in the set. She showed she could attack the basket and finish after the lick, plus she knocked down the mid to long-range jumper
Mallory Right
Mallory Right
Wright is on the RIGHT track for a number of reasons starting with she does something I absolutely love seeing players do and that’s “play the passing lane”. On top of that, she handles the ball after the steal to either attack the basket and score or make solid passes. She too has a deceptive first step to get to the basket yet her body control is nice and it hemps enable her to finish after contact

Fox has the right last name because she falls into that “sly like a Fox” phrase as she understands how to set the defender up multiple ways to score. Before I get into that, her touch passes, some even without looking, had me drop the mic, well my clipboard yet her showing the HEZ to get the defender off balance is always a good sign, so are powerful finishes after contact. Court vision is nice, so is the pull-up jumper
Reese Krause
Reese Krause
Krause was one of many pleasant surprises that took me back to yesteryear as she did so many small things that turn out to be big in the scope of the game. She plays within herself, yet she also understands how to get hers in the flow and her shot selection was solid as she showed she could not only shoot, but the “catch and shoot” looked good, as well as her scoring off the dribble
Karis Brown
Karis Brown
Brown had me hearing “I feel good” as I watched her first step which is going to create some problems and here’s why. She’s “long and athletic” which is and always will be the base and her blowing by defenders from everywhere will be a huge plus, especially when you factor in her body control. She is also going to create match-up issues because she can face the basket and score, midrange included
Lainey Dixon
Lainey Dixon
Dixon was caught off guard when I told her “you’re wearing my baby’s number” yet let me the variety of ways she caught me off guard after seeing she was “long and athletic”. Her timing is nice on blocking shots and it will get better yet her “hands and footwork” around the basket will create some issues for defenders. Not only does she have a pull-up jumper, she can knock it down from mid to long range
Brooke Schilling
Brooke Schilling
Schilling is also “long and athletic” with some impressive upside because she not only has good timing to block, alter, and (or) deflect shots, she reacts quickly on defense inside the paint. Yes, she rebounded on both ends, even showed she could handle the ball afterward yet her “hands and footwork” were also nice around the basket and helped her to score. Oh yeah, stepped outside the paint to defend
Sydney Wiggly
Sydney Wiggly
Wiggly wiggled her way past defenders to score off the dribble yet she was another “long and athletic” player that showed she could also score in the paint using that oh so effective “hands and footwork”. What’s also impressive is that she’s not 100% and is coming back from a slight injury but she hits the boards, on both ends and keeps the ball high. On top of that, she understands how to get the break going with the outlet
