Continue ReadingLunan is one of the most electric players in the country. Even though she sat out this past season she has continued to sharpen her skill set. She’s the type of player that can create her own shot at the drop of a dime and get to wherever she wants to on the court. Her shiftiness makes her very hard to stay in front of and her jump shot is good enough to where you have to play her up close. Body control is a major key to Ky’She’s game, as she can get places that most players can’t get to.
Owens is a guard who continues to develop her offensive game more and more. She is a long lead guard that uses her physical ability to overpower opponents. She’s aggressive and built to absorb contact when she gets in the paint. Her length allows her to see passing lanes easily over smaller defenders. Her perimeter shot has steadily improved to the point that she is a bonafide threat to hit them consistently.
Highlights
Trinity is a point guard that should see her stock rise with increased reps. She is a well-built point guard, and she knows how to use her body. She has a good change of speed to go along with a good change of direction. Jones is one that is always looking for the best shot that she can get for her teammate or herself. She’s very patient in letting the offense come to her. She has an advanced mid range game for a point guard.
Swindle looks innocent but her game is far from that. She plays with a high IQ and it shows in her play making ability. She knows when to push the ball and apply pressure on the defense. She also knows when to pull the ball out and run the offense. She is like having a coach on the floor in that she never gets too high or too low. Her composure and competitiveness come out when she is on the big stage. It doesn’t hurt that she is one of the best shooters in the state.
Winner is the first thing that comes to mind when describing Kaibara. She does whatever it takes from the point guard position to get the job done. She isn’t flashy but her ball handling skills are more than enough to get the job done. She uses her body well to keep defenders at bay and has a good hesitation dribble to keep the defense off balance. Like a good point guard, she shoots it mainly when her team needs her to score, and she does that well also.
