I’ll also have ALL STAR teams from both, I’m using a MAC and to be honest, I’m not good with it, yes I’m honest my limitations yet evaluating talented players ain’t one of them, here ya go
Phillips started the event off smoking in game 1, so much that she caught the eye of my colleague at another gym yet the fire wasn’t put out when she arrived to Timberview as she immediately dropped a catch and shoot 3 to start the game. Her size and athleticism came in handy as she scored off the dribble and around the basket, plus she defended and rebounded on both ends
Highlights
Young was one of many players that showed she could knock down shots while being defended yet only a few could “catch and shoot” it as well as drop it with a hand in her face. She did a good of mixing it up to score off the dribble, her deceptive first step played a part in that yet she also showed she could drop the FLOATA going full speed

I fat fingered her name for the graphic yet I got her game right as her first along with falling into that #sizedontmatter hashtag I enjoy dropping when players can play, she can play. Her stop and pop jumper in transition was nice, so was her pull-up in the set, from mid to long range yet off the dribble, her body controlled helped her finish off balance plus she played “on the ball” defense
Ashcroft fit the eye test as I walked into the gyn and I wound up next to her dad who was doing a great job filming ad showed ne a trick yet his daughter had a sly way of tricking the defender to get by them as well as get her shot off from outside. She’s a couple of inched shy of the magic number yet she plays like she’s 6’0 and when you factor in her bing “long and athletic” which is the base, rebounded on both ends and defended, all were nice
Highlights
Jones was another #sizedotmatter guards that set it off and trust me, there were plenty yet her immediately grabbing my attention by grabbing balls using quick hands had me smiling as her “on the ball” defense did not let up. Her court vision in the set as well as in transition was a plus, so her pull-up jumper and scoring off the dribble

McFloyd is an athletic guard that uses her athleticism on both ends of the court, s not only dd she defend baseline to baseline, she did something I totally enjoy seeing players do and that’s playing the passing lane. She attacked from multiple angles, showed solid body control after contact and her first step played a part in her setting that up
