Alright now y'all, clipboards out. These are five VT-bred hoopers you gotta check out and see in action. Let's get right to it.

Elyse MacDonough, 5'9 G - Bay State Jaguars Class of 2025

The tools continue to get sharper. Elyse spent this past winter with Worcester Academy and reeled in All-NEPSAC honors with her multi-level scoring, distribution, and hardnosed defense. MacDonough catches flame from 3 and knocks it down with efficiency, plus, she has the pull-up, interior finishing, and court vision to warp defenses and pick them apart. There's no good coverage with her skill and decision making. Defensively, Elyse uses the length, agility, and anticipation to junk up ballhandlers, plug holes off-ball, and force TOs. Smart, skilled hoop.

[player_tooltip player_id='405948' first='Cassie' last='Beste'], 5'6 G - Lone Wolf Athletics Class of 2025

The guard out of Philips Exeter understands the game. Beste is a competent floor general who'll pace the offense with her orchestration, 3-point shooting, and crafty distribution. The southpaw's dynamic offensive skillset keeps defenses guessing, balancing her tendencies and keeping everyone involved while identifying mismatches. On the defensive end, it's high-IQ game with her court awareness, understanding of opponents' patterns, and decision making. Reliable.

[player_tooltip player_id='645601' first='Sabine' last='Brueck'], 5'8 G - Lone Wolf Athletics Class of 2025

Easily one of the best two-way players in VT, Sabine provides a healthy dose of everything on the floor. Brueck is tasked with defending the best perimeter player each game, smothering them with her exceptional length, athletic ability, and unrelenting work ethic. Brueck disrupts and rebounds the rock at a good clip, and when she's in transition she's in her element. Sabine taps into high gear, exploding into the open court with her speed to make plays. A steady 3-point shooter and connector too, the combo-guard leaves little to be desired.

[player_tooltip player_id='450194' first='Bree' last='McDonald'], 5'7 G - Blueprint Basketball Varsity Class of 2025

Simply put, Bree's creation generates a ton of offense. When ball pressure comes, she's poised and sly in her attack, using it to her advantage. McDonald has multi-level scoring touch too, getting to her spots with that shifty, well-paced handle out of a plethora of scenarios. And when the D collapses on her, McDonald has the playmaking ability to dish it up for teammates. On the defensive end, Bree holds her own and can sneak a couple on ball steals too. Scoring PG with developing distribution.

[player_tooltip player_id='496160' first='Macie' last='Stagner'], 5'8 G - Lone Wolf Athletics Class of 2025

The small school stud is an offense onto herself. Macie has the tools to create looks for everyone with her multi-level scoring, crafty handle, and an ability to bend the defense and distribute. Stagner's a deliberate guard with heady game, and the misdirection she causes creates plentiful holes. Defensively she's an anticipator who does damage off the ball with her reading of passing lanes. Stagner just might break out this spring.
