8th grade year is a crucial time for development for most hoopers. There's a plethora of teams in the New England area that have prepared their girls from the very start to get them ready for high school and beyond. The grassroots scene is in good hands with the heavily invested coaches and players that have instilled the skillsets and work ethic that we will get to see on the next level. With all the future talent coming up, there a few that stand out in the region. These are 5 girls who stand out and have a bright future ahead of them.
<!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":["not_in_db"],"_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_0_player_details_selected_featured_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_selected_featured_image":"field_62cca28ffa4e7","player_evaluations_0_player_details_player_name":"Camryn Bedrossian","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_player_name":"field_62aba4c9ecf2f","player_evaluations_0_player_details_graduating_class":"2028","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_graduating_class":"field_62aba4ddecf30","player_evaluations_0_player_details_height":"null","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_height":"field_62aba4e8ecf31","player_evaluations_0_player_details_position":"","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_position":"field_62aba4f0ecf32","player_evaluations_0_player_details_school":"Mount Saint Charles ","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_school":"field_62aba4fdecf33","player_evaluations_0_player_details_club_team":"Team Providence ","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_club_team":"field_62d20e723441a","player_evaluations_0_player_details":"","_player_evaluations_0_player_details":"field_62aba4afecf2e","player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"Camryn Bedrossian (2028) | Forward| Team Providence u003cbru003eu003cbru003eCamryn is a solid forward that can do a little bit of everything. Great special awareness and the ability to score from the inside and out. Bedrossian is a great teammate that doesn't require the ball to do much damage on the floor. She rebounds the ball effectively and uses that to her advantage, getting her team extra possessions and keeping the ball alive. Camryn shoots the 3-pointer well for a forward and isn't afraid to shoot at any point. Although she has the greenlight to shoot, Camryn typically is trying to make the right play for her team. Bedrossian has a real upside in her game and can be expected to make some noise on the high school level next year. She plays extremely hard and plays until the whistle blows. Bonds is a point guard who dominates the paint at her command. She uses a right to left crossover that leads her to a signature left hand layup, typically catching defenders off guard. She runs the pick and roll high and on the elbows, putting her in position to create some angles for her to attack the rim or pull up for a midrange shot. Bonds is also a hound on the defensive end of the floor. Her lateral quickness and strength allow her to stay in front of the shiftiest of players. Bonds has quick hands on the defensive end, she likes to go for steals and gets out on the break, creating easy offense for herself. u003cbru003eu003cbru003eBonds is guard who will find success next year in high school with her menacing attacks and tough demeanor. She is reliable and a strong player who likes to fight for position, rebounds and scores well for her size. She uses her frame to her advantage and dominates the smaller matchups she is tasked with. Scaringello does indeed have a jump shot and it's an effective tool in her arsenal, even though she may not shoot as much as other stretch players. She can extend the court by shooting 3-pointers, with the ability to put the ball on the floor a little. Alexa is a good defender who plays vertically and can move her feet well for a commanding post player. u003cbru003eu003cbru003eAltogether, Scaringello is one of the best bigs in New England to look out for next year in high school. She is a young talent who sometimes plays up in AAU. divisions because of her overall skillset. DeJesus has elite moves that she uses at her discretion to get to her spots and create separation. What makes her special is her ability to get others involved while on ball, but also being just as effective in an off-ball position. She's able to use her athleticism to her advantage on the wing and be even more of an offensive threat as a backdoor cutter. Saige crashes the offensive glass and is strong enough to finish amongst the bigs. Defensively, Saige is also elite on the perimeter and in the paint. When playing help side defense, she is able to be in position to get herself steals and big blocks, always being there for the proper rotation. u003cbru003eu003cbru003ePlaying a lead role with Lady Rivals now, she will surely become a tock riser leading into the high school year. Bollin is the total package and it's no surprise she has been racking up the high-major school interests as an 8th grader. Avery plays amongst the upperclassmen at Dexter Southfield and her game mirrors that. A high IQ player who can shoot the 3-pointer and also scores off various post moves with her back to the basket. Primarily a faceup big right now, she is so lethal because of her shooting prowess and she happens to be a lefty, making her a tough cover conventionally. Bollin is dominate on the defensive end, her shot blocking ability is next level already. She plays excellent drop coverage and is also always lurking in the help side position. u003cbru003eu003cbru003eAvery is the next up and coming big, she is already dominate and the sky is the limit for her game.
