Gateway Challenge Class of 2026 Point/Combo Guards

Prep Girls Hoops Missouri takes a look at some of the top Class of 2026 point/combo guards that who caught our eye at the recent USJN Gateway Challenge, which was held in Chesterfield.   <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepgirlshoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2024/05/IMG_2044.jpeg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-908151" /></figure>   [player_tooltip player_id='458975' first='Londyn' last='Parker'] (Dellas Lamb 17U): A 5'8" point guard from Staley who was one of the top prospects in the event. She uses her blend of speed and physical strength to power her way past opposing defenders off the dribble. When she gets to her left hand and gets downhill, she is very difficult to stop. She is also a lock down defender who keeps ball handlers in front of her and was able to draw more than a few five-second violations with her pressure.     *****   <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepgirlshoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2024/04/IMG_1709.jpeg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-894871" /></figure>   [player_tooltip player_id='457728' first='Jael' last='Green'] ([program_tooltip program_id='713121' first='Lady' last='Brad Beal Elite'] 16U): A 5'6" point guard from University City who had a strong weekend in helping her team to the bracket championship for the tournament. She has good quickness and a high basketball IQ. She can deliver the pass on the money and she showcased the ability to get a bucket from all three levels.     ******   <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepgirlshoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2024/05/IMG_1973.jpeg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-908173" /></figure>   [player_tooltip player_id='493365' first='Mia' last='Cuneio'] (St. Louis Gators): A 5'7" guard from Eureka who plays with a lot of energy and high activity. She is an excellent 3-point shooter who will also attack the basket off the dribble. She had a few coast to coast forays for layups that were impressive. She is active on defense and gets into the passing lanes and she will go inside and grab a rebound.     ******   <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepgirlshoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2024/05/IMG_2045_a13a3a.jpeg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-908156" /></figure>   Asia Lee ([program_tooltip program_id='712484' first='Della' last='Lamb'] 17U): A 5'8" combo guard from Olathe South (KS) who is a very talented offensive player who can score from all three levels. She has good quickness and she can create her own shot off the dribble. She is effective at coming off the high ball screen and hitting the pull up jumper from the mid-range. She also has knock-down shooting range from 3-point territory.     ******   <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepgirlshoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2024/04/IMG_1718.jpeg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-894874" /></figure>   [player_tooltip player_id='493372' first='Alanah' last='Howard'] ([program_tooltip program_id='713121' first='Lady' last='Brad Beal Elite'] 16U): A 5'6" point guard from Cardinal Ritter who plays an excellent all-around floor game. She is a capable offensive player, but she does so many things to help her team like distribute the ball, play tenacious defense and play with tremendous energy.     ******   <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepgirlshoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2024/05/IMG_1970_6e9158.jpeg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-908163" /></figure>   [player_tooltip player_id='493363' first='Elena' last='Potsou'] (St. Louis Gators): A 5'7" point guard from Parkway West who has good fundamentals and the high IQ that comes with being a coach's kid. She has solid playmaking skills and if you leave her open from 3-point range, she is going to knock shots down.     ******   <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepgirlshoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2024/05/IMG_2128.jpeg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-908165" /></figure>   [player_tooltip player_id='429379' first='Anna' last='Picarella'] (Mavericks G-Elite 17U): A 5'6" point guard from Nerinx Hall who did a nice job while playing up at the 17U level. She can really shoot the ball well from 3-point distance, but she also plays a solid floor game. She keeps the ball moving on offense and she does a good job of moving without the ball to keep the offense flowing.   *******   <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepgirlshoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2024/05/Tara-Davis-II.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-908483" /></figure>   [player_tooltip player_id='905450' first='Tara' last='Davis'] (TC Hoops 16U): A 5'4" point guard from Doniphan who does a good job directing traffic and leading her team at both ends of the court. She has good court vision and she's always looking up the court to find an open teammate. She penetrates well in the lane and she hit a high-arching shot from 3-point range. She is also very tenacious on defense and she moves her feet well and keeps ball handlers in front of her.
