**please note this is a preliminary list which will be updated and revised to include many more players as they come in.
Here are five notable names that should make immediate impacts in their varsity debuts:
Carmela Arana Carmela Arana 5'4" | SG NJ | 5’4″ | G
Carmela has been busy putting in work with Team Miller on the grassroots circuit in anticipation of her high school debut. She’s a speedy guard with excellent vision and a knack for getting to the rim at will. She loves to rim-run and get after it in transition, comfortably able to finish on either side of the glass. Although she’s a natural at the 2, her ability to dish dimes and find teammates through the smallest of gaps makes her very efficient at the 1. Her passion is second to none and it’s clear she’s a total gym rat.
Peyton Hill Peyton Hill 5'9" | SF Wildwood Catholic | 2028 NJ | 5’10” | F
She’s one who landed on my radar over a year ago. Peyton is a raw talent equipped with size and commitment to play both sides of the ball. Her long reach makes a big impact on defense when it comes to swatting shots and protecting the paint. She does a great job establishing position to be able to pull down rebounds, especially on the defensive side. Her versatility is something that stands out to me and makes her effective at the G/F positions. She does a good job using her size to take advantage of smaller defenders off the bounce, including strong-willed attacks from the wing. Wildwood Catholic is getting a special talent next school year!
Adhara Blanc Adhara Blanc 5'6" | CG Dwight-Englewood | 2028 NJ | 5’6″ | G
Adhara plays up with the 15U P24 squad for United NJ and it’s clear why! With a strong two-way game, she wreaks havoc on both ends of the floor. She puts the clamps on defensively and applies suffocating on-ball pressure to come up with steals in the biggest moments. Her defense can instantly swing momentum and turn the tide in her team’s favor. She plays both the 1 and the 2 equally as efficiently, dishing out sweet dimes with precision and knocking down big-time buckets.
Quinn Smigelsky Quinn Smigelsky 5'5" | PG Holmdel | 2028 NJ | 5’5″ | G
Quinn’s basketball IQ is something that elevates all aspects of her game. She makes smart decisions with the ball in her hands, whether it’s creating for herself or for others. She gets after it in transition and does a terrific job scanning the floor while pushing the pace. Her drives to the hoop are confident and courageous, taking contact like a champ and earning trips to the stripe. Her outside jumpers are smooth and she works well around screens and on the PNR. She has contagious energy, pays close attention on defense and a well-rounded game that is sure to make an instant splash at Holmdel.
Claire Gillespie Claire Gillespie 5'10" | PF Holmdel | 2028 NJ | 5’10” | F
With great size and mobility, Claire moves effortlessly and plays big on both ends of the court. She has a sharp inside-out game, commanding the interior, knocking down short jumpers and stretching out to the mid-range and beyond! With a long reach, she delivers punishing blows to opponents on the dribble-drive entering and commandingly protects the paint. A player this committed on offense and defense is one who will surely make a major impact in her freshman season at Holmdel.
