Due to recent NCAA calendar changes, June has become vital to recruiting and the high school game. There’s two live periods so this is a great time to evaluate prospects and gain insight into teams for the upcoming season.
Hickman has a talented core of prospects heading into the new season. 2025 and 2026 are strong classes for the Kewpies who look to compete vs. a tough schedule every year. They are strong on the perimeter and space the floor with shooting/cutting. Colleges can look to this program for recruitable prospects at a variety of levels.
It all starts with
Jayla Griffith

at the guard spot. She’s the leader for this team and someone that will score with efficiency. She’s a floor general that wants to get others involved and operate as a complete player. A host of schools have extended offers and the next few months will be key in determining options for the next level. Griffith is currently ranked 5th in the senior class.
Sy’rae Stemmons is a utility player who does everything for Hickman. You’d be hard pressed to find a player who does all the things she can in Columbia. Capable of fitting into any role on the floor. Defending other top players, making timely shots, being a cutter off the ball… she can do anything asked by a coach. A winner who adds years of varsity experience.
Holding down the middle in season will be
Addison Carr

. A 6’6 post presence that gives the team a rim protector and high quality rebounder to round out the defense. She’s a prototypical 5 that runs rim-to-rim. Having a player with elite size is key for playing top competition. Carr is one of the biggest advantages that Hickman will have heading into the new season.
Caroline Eastman

has been playing well this June and figures to be the final part of a prolific senior trio. A 5’10 guard that understands the game and plays well in a combo role. She makes shots in the catch and shoot game, opening up the floor for others. Her ability to fit into any role is key for running offense. In many ways, Eastman is the Kewpies x-factor that can be the difference in any game.
