June is a month where athletes return to their high school teams to compete and see what next year's squad is going to look like. For Prep Girls Hoops North Carolina, it also means updated rankings. The first round of updates is coming to the 2025 class, so let's dive into some new names you should know as they head into their senior seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='918862' first='Bianca' last='Negrerios'] is a player who is always moving on the court whether she is on offense or defense. She constantly finds the open lane whether she is attacking the basket taking it all the way herself or making the dish to her teammates as defenders crash around her. She stays on her toes on defense being able to explode into passing lanes and take steals up the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='918865' first='Ella' last='Pierre-Louis'] recently relocated to North Carolina, and I am excited to continue to watch her play this year as I am a sucker for some good post players. She is a force in the paint being able to rebound on both ends, and she uses strong footwork to score some points off the entry pass. She makes sharp passes herself knowing how to make a play right off a defensive rebound or steal increasing the tempo to the other end.

[player_tooltip player_id='918868' first='Martha' last='Guinle'] had a year of accolades with Lincoln Charter, and she is continuing that strong play-making with [program_tooltip program_id='716105' first='Team' last='Mack'] this travel season. She can set herself up for some deep shots around the perimeter, and she also handles the ball well finding the openings. She goes to work without the ball, too, making sure to find the openings and be ready for the pass.

[player_tooltip player_id='918870' first='NNa' last='Konate'] certainly knows how to use her length to her fullest advantage. She can guard around the perimeter blocking the path and line of sight for guards trying to get the ball inside. She can also clog the paint blocking shots and protecting the basket with deflections. On offense, she knows how to seal off her opponents waiting for the entry pass to go to work, and she will find a way to make teams pay grabbing offensive rebounds for her own points.

[player_tooltip player_id='918872' first='Maddison' last='McIntyre'] is a feisty ball handler who directs her teammates where to go showing off her court vision. She knows how to fill the open lanes whether it's her doing it, or she is telling her teammates to cut to the basket. She knows how to hit her teammates in stride placing the ball perfectly out of reach of her defenders. She can knock down her own shots creating space with her handles.
