I've enjoyed catching this squad, well this organization over the past 3 seasons and I've already highlighted Amiris Johnson and Kourtney Blackmore, a couple of talented 2029 players, who stood out at the event

Here are the big girls

[player_tooltip player_id='678721' first='Naya' last='Burleson'] (2025) Buda Hays

Burleson is "long and athletic" which is the base, yeah I say it over and over because some just don't get it but her intangibles are she plays the passing lane and handles the ball after yet she also does that after rebounding and going coast to coast to score. Her UPS are nice, so is her timing and she can score off the dribble as well as drop the jumper

Neela Castillo (2025) Buda Hays

Castillo applied heat on the defensive end off the top and her on-the-ball pressure helped set the tone. She does a good job creating her shot, but she also creates separation to get it off. Her ability to "catch and shoot" stood out, as well as her court vision plus she did a good job scoring off the dribble

Jennah Cabella (2025) Buda Johnson

Cabella uses her frame inside the paint well, on both ends. She understands positioning to rebound, she also gave me the "hands and footwork" to finish around the basket. She scored on putbacks, yes she rebounds on both ends and her interior defense was solid but she gets the cover because she attacked the basket and finished from multiple angles

Sa'Myra Witcher (2025) Cibolo Steele

Witcher had the defender wondering "witcher way was she going" and her crafty ballhandling showed me the crossover coupled with the COP, change of pace. was nice but she is an athletic guard who uses her athleticism on both ends of the court, her defense was solid, both in the set as well as full court and she scored off the dribble, body control on her finishes was nice

[player_tooltip player_id='644124' first='Alyana' last='McGarity'] (2025) New Braunfels

McGarity can take games over offensively, I've watched her do it numerous times, from mid to long-range as well as off the dribble yet she gave me another look as she played the facilitator role. She set teammates up for good looks in the set, and she dished or scored off the dribble yet "don't get it twisted" when needed she dropped the jumper, "stop and pop" in transition included

Melayna Perkins (2026) San Marcos

Perkins does a good job creating her shot under pressure and showing she could drop it. She also showed a deceptive first step to attack the basket and finish plus her court vision was nice

Gabriella Burleson (2026) Buda Hays

Burleson is a "long and athletic" guard, which is also the base, and watching her apply defensive heat was nice but so was her attacking the basket strongly and finishing after contact. Her body control was nice, and so was her court vision

Hannah Monroe (2025) Buda Hays

Monroe was another athletic guard who showed she could defend in the set as well as fullcourt. She plays within herself and also understands how to get hers in the flow. Her court vision and decision-making also stood out

I've enjoyed catching this squad, well this organization over the past 3 seasons and I've already highlighted Amiris Johnson and Kourtney Blackmore, a couple of talented 2029 players, who stood out at the event
