Smith already "gets it" and her power inside the paint immediately stood out during the 1 on 1 drill. She attacks the basket strongly and finishes powerfully yet her strength at this stage tells me a lot because she goes AFTA everything off the rim, on both ends. Her interior defense was solid yet she showed her athleticism by stepping outside of the paint to guard her man

Lewis is an athletic guard who showed she could use her athleticism on both ends of the court. Her "on the ball" pressure in the set was solid, quick hands got her some steals, yet watching her set the defender up and attack the basket had me smiling because she not only finished acrobatically but after contact as well. She also saw the floor in the set and off the dribble

Joubert falls into that #sizedontmatter group I love to hashtag because she can play. She's heady, plays within herself, and makes good decisions as well as handles the ball, both under pressure. She used a deceptive first step to score off the nice dribble, and so did her seeing the floor. On top of that, she dropped the jumper, nice upside

Parker was another heady guard who played within herself which means she didn't try to do anything out of the ordinary yet her skillset said enough as she read the screen before it happened and made her man pick up her dribble on the defensive end. She also showed she could apply full-court pressure, she scored off the dribble and saw the floor

Lee grabbed my attention over a year ago and I refuse to blink when she has the ball because I might miss something. She falls into a group that I use the "her ceiling has roof" line and watching her master the HEZ at this stage is going to also place her in the "nightmare to defend" category. She's a long and athletic guard, and body control on her finishes is very nice, especially after contact, with EITHER hand. She has good court vision, she can drop the jumper, she applies "on the ball" pressure and she has good timing to block shots
