I talk about the top players at length, and they deserve the recognition. However, I want to talk about some deep cuts over the next few days and discuss some players off the beaten path for one reason or another.

The Fond du Lac forward is a little undersized for her position at 5'11, but does an excellent job creating space under the basket. She's willing to do the things that don't end up on stat sheets, like boxing out, being physical with larger post-kids, and using her size to keep kids away from the basket. Kejo is a solid athlete who can switch onto guards in a pinch on the perimeter, and she seems like she's willing to buy into anything her coach asks her to do.

[player_tooltip player_id='533080' first='Addy' last='Timm']

Players that can help make ball-dominant kids complete a team, and Timm has shown she can do that. Her ability to space the floor and knock down shots is valuable for any guard or wing who likes to get downhill because helping off Timm gives her teammates the most straightforward read possible. She's a 36% shooter from the three-point line, with significant volume. She may not ever be a 20-point-per-game kind of player, but what she does will always have a place on the floor. I'm a fan of what Timm does. I'm confident she'll have opportunities to play at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='888846' first='Macey' last='Faust']

There is a fair amount of trust that Edgewood has in Faust. They've given her some minutes throughout last season in relatively competitive games in an uber-talented backcourt. The lefty has a jumper that will play at the varsity level and will likely have a place in the Crusader rotation this coming season. Her ability to space the floor and handle the ball under pressure in a pinch could add some value for the reigning D3 state champions. Faust can make some things happen off the weak side, and with all the talent they have, she'd get a chance to make teams pay for giving her space and attack closeouts off the dribble.

[player_tooltip player_id='842251' first='Danielle' last='Becker']

Monona Grove had so many talented backcourt kids a season ago, and Becker came off the bench. You could tell the Silver Eagle played soccer by how effortless she looked defending some athletic guards. Becker guarded talented kids and held her own. She's also a kid who can knock down perimeter shots and has the confidence to take high-pressure shots late in games. By how she moves, I'm sure she's a talented soccer kid and does that at a high level, but Becker will be a valuable piece for the MG basketball team until she graduates.
