Unranked players on the move

As the AAU and team off-season comes closer to an end, I am highlighting some players that have impressed for future rankings Here are the first group of players that are opening my eyes for more recognition at Prep Girls Hoops WA.    Alyssa was impressive enough this summer to catch my eye as a player who has what it takes to be in the next rankings update. She is a guard whose skills and quickness stood out over the summer. She has good enough handles to run the point with ease as well as all levels scoring ability. She uses the quickness to be a threat downhill and is skilled in making tough shots at the basket. She can cause problems with her ball pressure and has good open floor vision and skills to be a high impact player on both sides of the ball. Look for her role to increase next season as part of a good backcourt at Bellarmine Prep.     A breakout season last year. She was great for Snohomish in the post-season and a steady presence in the post all year long. She has a nice touch around the basket and showed skill on the block with nice scoring moves. She is a tough player who doesn't mind mixing it up inside and gets plenty of second chance opportunities as a result. She has good hands and goes after rebounds with a purpose. She is also a shot changer and disruptor on defense with her length.       A watchlist player who is sure to climb the rankings as the season gets going. She was outstanding in the summer, showing why she was named her league's MVP last season. She is quick and smooth with the ball.She is great at creating her own shots, and can shoot it from deep. Her crafty playmaking skills are hard to ignore as she excels in all aspects of the game from the point guard position. She is highly skilled in the mid-range game with some added flair and great athleticism. She is poised for another huge season as one of the top hidden gems around.       Mercer Island has a couple of guards who are making a case to be rankings risers. Marsh is the point guard who was one of the states leaders in assists, if not the leader. She has great quickness and can get by the defense and draw the help. She has the ability to score around the basket, making tough shots over much bigger defenders. She doesn't hesitate in getting downhill and the court vision was outstanding last season. She impressed during the summer with her ability to make plays both scoring and distributing. Her backcourt mate [player_tooltip player_id='931418' first='Elianna' last='Weiss'] should be a steady source of points after a huge freshman season that saw her make over 70 threes at 48%. A safe bet to climb the 2027 rankings.     A player who started for Lakeside last season. She is a knock down three point shooting guard. She makes big shots for one of the best teams in the state and that alone is worthy of recognition. She hit four threes in the 3rd place game at the state tournament last season and had multiple threes in big games on a consistent basis. Decent quickness on the defensive end of the floor, and can help take care of the ball on offense. Lakeside has lots of points to be made up with the loss of Mia Broom to graduation. Sophia is one guard of a few who can make up for that.
