Jamiah Fontenberry is an exceptional SG/SF with a well-rounded skill set. Her ability to handle the ball with speed and facilitate fast breaks shows she has strong court vision and decision-making skills. Her quick shot release helps her rise and shoot above defenders in the mid range. Jamiah's proficiency in chasing down rebounds and converting them into points or assists, highlight her offensive and defensive versatility. Leading the Capital Valley Conference and Division 1 basketball with 16 double-doubles speaks to her consistent performance and impact on the game. She finished her Junior season averaging 15.9 points and 9.6 rebounds. Her commitment to immediately transitioning from offense to defense and pressuring the in-bounder demonstrates her high basketball IQ and relentless work ethic. Plus, her communication and leadership on the defensive end are crucial traits for any successful team. In just her sophomore season she led the Falcons in steals, FG percentage of 50%, and rebounds with 6.5 a game. Joy Omishakin's high motor and height creates a mismatch for whoever has to defend her. That combined with a growing skill set prepares Joy for an impact 24-25 season.
