Flashback Friday: Hidden Gems Edition

As the seasons are beginning to change and Prep Girls Hoops is in showcase season, I wanted to highlight a few under the radar, hidden gem players. Exclusively seen at PGH events during the spring and summer, the following players are sure to have impactful high school seasons.     Allan is a player that not only constantly looks to feed the post, but is so familiar with her teammates that she finds them right at their sweet spots for easy baskets. She has the confidence to thread the needle in transition for taxing assists. She is also active off the ball as she understands spacing and timing within the half court set.     Shoots the running jumper on 1 end, and sprints back to block a shot on the other end. She is EVERYWHERE on the court, no matter what the score is. She cleans up on the boards and has the go get the ball mentality of a hustler player.     Millers plays beyond her size and this allows her team to have a solid post presence down low. She consistently boxes out, rebounds, and secures the ball by chinning with her elbows out. Lots of upside to her game.     Flowers hit key three point shots for her team down the stretch. She definitely isn't afraid to let it fly, but is also developing the ability to attack off the dribble once teams begin to overplay her around the arc. She also got on the boards and came up with big rebounds for her team in a tight game.     Long and lengthy! She uses her speed to push the ball in tempo, and with her size she is developing into a threat in the transition game. She keeps the ball high on rebounds and has the potential to be a scoring threat at the combo guard position.
