Let's check out who's on my shortlist before rosters come out for this WNBA themed league!

2025s:

One of the first names that comes to mind is 2025 5'8 G [player_tooltip player_id='645601' first='Sabine' last='Brueck'] of North Country Union High School. She won GPOY in the 2022-2023 season with her outstanding two-way play, cementing herself as a premier defensive presence on and off the ball in addition to her electric slashing and intuitive senses offensively. Her cutting creates a ton of offense, as does her transition game with her bursts of speed and open court finishing. She's homed in her ballhandling and shooting too, so I'm excited to see where she's at now. Another two-way dynamo is 2025 5'7 G [player_tooltip player_id='496099' first='Audrey' last='Rupp'] of Windsor High School; she's one who'll pick up the best perimeter player 84 feet and make them work. She's a reliable help defender and her offense revolves around sly slashing, off-ball movement, and she's shown to be a capable ballhandler who can orchestrate too. 2025 5'8 G [player_tooltip player_id='496160' first='Macie' last='Stagner'] of Springfield High School is on my shortlist for good reason. Stagner can control the whole game with her presence on the floor, especially on the offensive end. Her command of the rock is evident, her facilitation and reading of the defense crisp, and she can get a bucket at each level of the floor. She's a small school stud to say the least. 2025 5'11 W [player_tooltip player_id='645602' first='Cassidy' last='Kittredge'] of St. Johnsbury Academy is a pure shooter who can space the floor as well as anyone in the state. She's knockdown off the catch from mid-range out to 20-feet and has flashed the one dribble pull-up too. Moreover, her witty off-ball movement makes her so much more than a standstill shooter; she cuts well into open space and punishes overzealous defenders with backdoors for easy 2s or slip passes inside for dimes. And defensively, she's smart, long, and a nuisance off the ball with her rangy help defense. Efficient, consistent and heady.

2026s:

In the class of 2026, I've got my eyes on two in particular, 2026 5'9 G [player_tooltip player_id='481355' first='Charlotte' last='Jasmin'] of Hartford High Shcool and 2026 5'8 W [player_tooltip player_id='592897' first='Anna' last='Ebert'] of St. Johnsbury Academy. Jasmin's a proven lead guard who can orchestrate the whole show, operating as a lead playmaker and scorer with her multi-level scoring off the catch or bounce and vision to fire lasers through the defense for clean looks. In addition, Jasmin adds in the zest of a hustle player who'll chase rebounds and loose balls on both ends and guard 2-4, leaving little to be desired. Ebert too will bring the toughness on both ends. Anna also has the physicality and footwork to guard 2-4, jostling for boards against bigs but able to switch onto most anything for a possession. Moreover, her offensive game glues everything together. She's a talented player off the catch, making quick decisions to slash or feed teammates with her savvy court awareness, all within the flow of the game. A steady presence on both ends and she gives 100% every time she laces up.
