New 2026 Rankings Top Forwards/Posts

Prep Girls Hoops Missouri released its newly updated Class of 2026 rankings last week. We conclude our positional breakdowns with a look at the top forwards/posts in the new rankings.   <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepgirlshoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2023/06/IMG_2967.jpeg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-678223" /></figure>     [player_tooltip player_id='351752' first='Jayda' last='Porter'] (Rock Bridge): A 6'4 forward who is an elite prospect who can dominate the game in a variety of ways. She averaged 18 points and 10 rebounds in leading the Bruins to a third place finish in the state tournament. She played with the MO Phenom 17U EYBL team during the summer.     ******   <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepgirlshoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2023/07/IMG_4301.jpeg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-689470" /></figure>   [player_tooltip player_id='351820' first='Moriyah' last='Douglass'] (John Burroughs): A 6'4 forward who helped the Bombers to a Class 5 state championship last season. She is an excellent rebounder with the length to excel on defense. She also has a versatile skill set. She has good length and shot blocking ability along with a solid offensive game in the post. She has numerous Division l scholarship offers.     *******   <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepgirlshoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2024/01/IMG_9463.jpeg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-838984" /></figure>   [player_tooltip player_id='409880' first='Kennedy' last='Stowers'] (Lutheran St Charles): A 6'2 forward who has been a key starter for the Crusaders Class 5 state championship team in 2023 and runner up team in 2024. She averaged 11 points and seven rebounds while shooting 58 percent from the field. She's a Division l prospect with several offers.     *******   <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepgirlshoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2024/07/IMG_6274.jpeg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-954915" /></figure>   [player_tooltip player_id='344797' first='Ava' last='Albanese'] (Incarnate Word): A 6'2 forward who returns to the St Louis area after playing at Montverde Prep (FL) last season. She's a versatile talent who's very comfortable on the perimeter with her passing, shooting and ball handling skills. She averaged 11 points and seven rebounds a game while making 50 3-pointers as a sophomore.     ********   <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepgirlshoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2024/06/IMG_3605.jpeg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-919836" /></figure>   [player_tooltip player_id='415885' first='Brooke' last='Blankenship'] (St. Pius): A 6'1 forward who led her school to a historical first run to the Final Four of the Class 3 state tournament. She averaged 14 points, nine rebounds and nearly three blocks a game.     *******   <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepgirlshoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2024/05/IMG_2053.jpeg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-909563" /></figure>   Dee Dee Newton (North Kansas City): A 6'1 who really emerged last season as she led NKC to a conference championship. She runs the court as well as any post player in the state. She is also an elite shot blocker. She averaged a double-double last season.     *******   <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepgirlshoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2024/07/IMG_6168.jpeg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-954894" /></figure>   [player_tooltip player_id='279716' first='Jayelin' last='May'] (Lee's Summit North): A 6'2 forward who really holds it down in the low post. She holds her position and she has a nice shooting touch inside. She averaged 11 points and six rebounds while shooting 50 percent from the field.
