These senior forwards can do it all for their 3A squads, and they are ready to explode onto the college recruiting scene in 2024/25. From all-conference performers to Arkansas high school girls basketball record-holders, this classification has them all.

[player_tooltip player_id='417402' first='Logan' last='Young'] is one of the most versatile and skilled forwards in the 3A classification. She can play either the small or power forward positions and she is hard to stop in the high/mid post and in the paint. Young is already off the board, as she committed to Arkansas Tech in June, but she is still expected to have a great senior season.

Young is at her best when she is playing around the free throw line or on the blocks. She takes and makes short jumpers from those spots. She can hit catch-and-shoot and turn-around jumpers in the mid-range, and those shots are so hard to block. For NBA fans, think of Shaun Livingston, who was unstoppable from the mid-range and high post areas in his time with the Golden State Warriors. That is who Young's game takes after. It may be unusual for today's game, but it is an automatic two points when she takes those shots. Not only is Young a threat to hit those short jumpers, but she gets to her spots and if the defense is too tight, she is a huge threat to drive.

Young's slashing ability is dangerous. She can slice past defenders whether she is posting up or on a dribble-drive. Her finishing ability is great, and she uses pump fakes and the backboard to her advantage each time down the court. She can do these things in the half-court, but she also does them well on the fastbreak. Her paint scoring and short jumpers all translate to every kind of basketball scenario.

Defensively, Young makes her presence felt by causing turnovers. She has very active hands and will strip the ball away in a split second. She can play the passing lanes too, but Young is also a stellar shot blocker. She has great timing on those blocks and she does not mind sending the ball towards the stands.

[player_tooltip player_id='417402' first='Logan' last='Young'] is a fantastic basketball player with tremendous two-way ability. Though she is no longer uncommitted, she has potential to be the best forward in all of 3A, and it will be worth watching.

[player_tooltip player_id='1056363' first='Kaydence' last='Freeman'] was 3A-4 all-conference in 2023/24 for multiple reasons: she has solid two-way ability and she is a game-changing rebounder. Freeman is certainly underrated for now, but expect another all-conference and possibly all-state season to put her on the map in 2024/25.

Freeman's defensive ability is headlined by her ability to cause a lot of turnovers. She has shown that she can block shots, but she is better at jumping the passing lanes or taking advantage of sloppy passes from the other team. Freeman has also shown the ability to take the ball the length of the floor off a steal.

On offense, Freeman is best when playing inside. She feasts on second-chance opportunities and contested looks in the paint. If Freeman is left open along the 3-point line, she can knock down some open threes, but playing in the post is her bread and butter.

Her rebounding is excellent on both sides of the ball, and she boxes out well and is physical on her way to the boards. She gives herself and her team plenty of extra opportunities to score this way.

[player_tooltip player_id='1056363' first='Kaydence' last='Freeman'] is a solid player who can do the little things extremely well. I would like to see her become an even greater threat to shoot outside, which would make her a deadly stretch-4. Keep an eye on Freeman and the Lady Eagles this season.

If you are a college and looking for a quality stretch-4, look no further than [player_tooltip player_id='1056365' first='Tayla' last='Trammell']. Trammell has great two-way abilities, and she has a smooth jumpshot. There is not much that Trammell cannot do on the court, and some schools such as East Texas Baptist University and Crowley's Ridge College have already recognized that.

The best part of Trammell's game is her ability to knock down the long ball. Her shot is very smooth and her makes always seem to be nothing-but-net. Trammell creates so much space on the court, which allows her teammates to be able to drive inside. If help comes, Trammell is open along the perimeter for a triple. She can also drive inside and finish through contact in the paint.

On defense, Trammell is a stellar shot-blocker. She tracks down shots well and remains patient until the ball is in the air. She also grabs a lot of boards, on both offense and defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1056365' first='Tayla' last='Trammell'] is a really solid all-around big who has tremendous perimeter ability. I would like to see Trammell become more of a force in the paint, and with her 6'1" frame, that should not be an issue.

Kaydence Dearien has had a massive impact on Mountain View's squad during her time on varsity. She is a do-it-all type of player who makes plays on both offense and defense, especially with offensive rebounding. Last season, Dearien recorded 8 offensive rebounds in a game, which is in the top ten for most offensive rebounds in a game in Arkansas high school girls basketball history. Dearien is just one of those players who can do a bit of everything.

Dearien's rebounding is obviously tremendous. She knows exactly where to be near the basket to grab an offensive rebound. She understands angles and timing, which allow her to grab a boat-load of boards. From there, she rises up for second-chance buckets and can use both hands equally well to finish inside. Outside of offensive rebounding, Dearien can make plays on offense.

Dearien is a threat to hit threes, especially on the wing and in the corner. She has solid arch and a solid release, making her a legitimate threat to shoot the long ball for a forward. When she gets the chance, Dearien can also drive inside and finish.

As I mentioned in my opening, Dearien can make plays on defense, too. She blocks shots and intercepts passes for steals. She also sprints out on the fastbreak to record easy baskets for her team. These are either off of her own steals or from a teammates'.

Kaydence Dearien is a great all-around player. She may lack some size for a forward, but she makes up for it with her constant activity. There is not a college coach in the country who would not want a player like her on their roster.

[player_tooltip player_id='1186525' first='Emma' last='Holland'] is a serious 3-point threat for the Elkins Lady Elks. She can contribute on defense as well, but Holland is most impactful along the perimeter, and she can heat up in a hurry.

Holland's 3-point shooting ability is an excellent weapon for Elkins, and they love to feed her. Holland's form is slightly unorthodox, as she brings the ball down to her midsection, but she has excellent touch on her shot, making it deadly for her team. Her release timing is quick and she moves without the ball well. It seems like her teammates are always looking for her along the perimeter, and it pays off more times than not.

Holland has shown that she can play solid on-ball defense. She moves her feet well and keeps her arms up. This way she can record easy blocks and is in a great position to rack up some steals.

[player_tooltip player_id='1186525' first='Emma' last='Holland'] is sharpshooter for that Elkins offense. She heats up quickly, having multiple games of 3 or more triples in 2023/24. Keep an eye on Holland and the Lady Elks this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='875510' first='Kendall' last='Haworth'] might just be the best defender all of 3A. Haworth is extremely active on that side of the ball and she can make winning plays for her team. Haworth's offensive game is not on par with her defense, but if that part of her game improves in her senior season, look out 3A-7.

Haworth's defense is infuriating if you are on the other team. Fouke ran a smothering full-court press in 2023/24, and Haworth was able to intercept a lot of passes that way. Her hands remain active and she does not stop until she hears a whistle. She is as active in the 1st quarter as she is in the 4th, and she made a lot of clutch plays for Fouke last season. She can obviously jump the passing lanes, but she takes advantage of sloppy ball-handling or loose balls. Haworth can take these opportunities to the other end and score easy fastbreak buckets. She has also shown that she can block shots.

Haworth has the ability to knock down corner threes, but cutting to the basket and feasting on the offensive glass are her specialties. Haworth's activity carries over from defense to offense and she crashes the boards hard and often.

[player_tooltip player_id='875510' first='Kendall' last='Haworth'] is heavily underrated, but if she keeps on making clutch plays in 2024/25, she will not be anymore.

Quality forwards are usually not in large quantity at this level, but the 3A classification is able to provide for this upcoming season. Next up on the docket is 3A 2025 bigs who will put their mark on their conferences in 2024/25.

These senior forwards can do it all for their 3A squads, and they are ready to explode onto the college recruiting scene in 2024/25. From all-conference performers to Arkansas high school girls basketball record-holders, this classification has them all.
