Top 2025 Prospects | JP Elite Fall Showcase

Houston's 2025 class is loaded, with several formidable players racking up offers from across the country. Talent breeds talent, and the pool of Houston girls making a name for themselves—and putting the city on the map—continues to grow. Here are a few of the top 2025 prospects I caught at the [program_tooltip program_id='712584' first='Just' last='Play Elite'] Showcase in early September.    Marksman shooters often fly under the radar, and true to her game and name, Truitt consistently connected BTA. The countless hours in the gym are evident as Samantha rises as a true testament to harwork and perserverance in Houston's talented 2025 class. The 5'6" guard threads the needle through heavy traffic for tougher assists, creating frustration for opponents. Defensively, Samantha did not disappoint, with a keen understanding of spacing and challenging top competitors. A complete team player and natural leader, Truitt will be a valuable asset at the next level.     [player_tooltip player_id='594029' first='Jazmine' last='Hansley'] is as cool as a cucumber on the basketball court. The 2025 elite-level guard "politely" picks opponents apart, reading the defense to filth. With a firecracker first step, fluid, well-paced crossovers, and relentless defensive pressure, Hansley is ready for the final chapter of her high school career, commanding the game with an unforgettable presence.     [player_tooltip player_id='782623' first='Madison' last='Bush-Lewis'] delivered an all-star performance, attacking the rim with a variety of acrobatic finishes. She slashed, dashed, and crashed the boards, finishing among the skyscrapers like a true point architect. The dynamic point-shooting guard with brilliant ball handling skills, finishing off one or two feet, and a long ball dagger too. Shining now, but there's an even brighter future ahead for this point-gurl.     Gianna kicked into high gear during the 5v5, displaying a confident, controlled demeanor. A heady guard with a sharp sense of foresight, she blew by defenders with superior speed, forcing defensive collapses in the paint. With seemingly pre-scripted vision, Gentry consistently set her teammates up for easy buckets. Her ability to shift her body and maneuver to the rim is on a high level. #MVP of the day—Gentry kept herself, her teammates, and even her opponents motivated. Her talent? Undeniable. Her ceiling? #NoRoof     Christen Campbell is another #UnderTheRadar standout in Houston's 2025 class. Her footwork in and around the paint is almost #collegeready. To the untrained eye her shot selection appears questionable, but these are shots, very few could recreate. However, Christen consistently moved with purpose to finish tough shots reminiscent of a young (and current) Angel Reese. Campbell is mmm mmm good—just like the soup—a magnetic rebounder who fuels her team, starting the break or pushing it herself with a smooth midrange jumper. Her best-kept secret? Her defense. She quietly controls the interior, blocking shots without contact, again and again. #RisingStar     [player_tooltip player_id='897816' first='Madison' last='Wilson'] was serving the community at this showcase—every trip down the court, "handing out" turn-around buckets from the short corner or draining the corner three, #Kobe! The 6-foot small forward has a great feel for the game and handles ball pressure with ease in the open court. Below the charity stripe? She's automatic—check cashed, deposit received, all of the above. #StandoutPerformer The jumper's solid, but the footwork? Even better.
