CNR Fall League Weekend Standouts

We watched several games concentrating on up and coming players in the Classes of 2028 and 2029. I was most impressed with how she took over the final minutes of the game that I watched her. In a close game, she scored on two driving layups and hit a tie-breaking 3-pointer in the closing seconds to give her team the victory. She displayed a lot of moxie down the stretch. She is a high energy player with good positional size for a wing player. She has good quickness and was able to get downhill on the drive to score, and she did it going to her left and right. She sees the court well with her passing skills and she was also a one-girl press break as she showed her handles in the open court. She is athletic and she's physically strong and she plays with a motor that is equally strong. She was rebounding out of her area with tenacity. She also used good positioning around the basket to either score in the post to rebound. If she wasn't getting to the basket on a straight line drive, she also had a nifty spin move in traffic. Her motor was running for the entire game as she continued to get stronger as it went on. She was very exciting to watch in the open court with her speed as she was also a one-girl press breaker. She had a nice shooting touch to score once she got into the lane. She displayed good defensive instincts and tenacity as she moved her feet well to apply good on-ball pressure.
