PGH Top 250 Expo Team Six Breakdown (Part 2)

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This weekend, we'll close out coverage from the Top 250 Showcase last weekend. Today, we're looking at Team Six and highlighting the players I have notes on from the event. On Monday morning, we'll start our 2025 rankings update.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1039253' first='Melanie' last='Morgan']</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Sometimes, even in the AAU season, it felt like Morgan didn't get the ball enough, but that could be due to loose structure at the Top 250 Expo. I thought she had an excellent feel for where open space would be to get shots up and is always ready to get shots off. Morgan made some shots when I watched her and looked solid. She has the potential to be someone who surprises people in the North Shore this season because she's more well-rounded as an offensive player than people probably think or realize.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1039258' first='Riley' last='Mugerauer']</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Another younger Oshkosh West kid had some defensive tools. I thought the 5'8 wing or guard defended multiple positions and found success defending different types of kids. I also thought she shot the ball well when I saw her playing in the 5v5 portion of the event. We'll see how the Wildcats look heading into the season, but there are minutes to had, and Mugerauer is another one with an opportunity to claim a role this season. The Oshkosh West youth program must be excellent at coaching on the defensive end of the floor.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1039266' first='Victoria' last='Judon']</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Kenosha Indian Trail guard is a physical kid. Judon threw herself after rebounds on both ends of the floor and helped generate extra possessions whenever I saw her playing in Appleton. I loved her motor and her comfort in being away from the ball. Judon isn't a ball-dominant kid and understands various ways she can be productive while not being a guard who has to have the ball in her hands. In a new era for Kenosha Indian Trail, Judon is indispensable.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1039225' first='Angelina' last='Reyes']</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Another kid that fits the same mold of the player as the player we just talked about. Reyes is another non-ball-dominant guard, and watching her attack the glass with Judon was something to behold. However, I thought what she did best was creating extra possessions on the defensive end. Reyes forced her fair share of mistakes, which allowed her team to get out and run in transition. The Dominican guard will be a plug-and-play kid for the Knights this season as they look to return to sectionals in 2024-25.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
