As mentioned, in a previous article, Angelina was one of the best, most complete players that I watched at The Expo. Sporting a wide range of skill offensively, Angelina really impressed me, on defense, as a strong on-ball defender with quick hands who made life miserable for anyone she guarded. It is easy to see why she averaged almost 2.5 steals per game last season!

As I mentioned, in a previous article, I came across very impressed with Angelina’s overall game. Offensively she knows when to attack the rim, with either hand, but also how to create space and utilize great body control to hit the mid-range jumper when the defense collapses on her.

Angelina was one of the top standouts from the Expo and was all over the court. She’s a hard-nosed player who just knows where to be and how to use her body/off-hand to create space and finish a variety of ways around the basket while exhibiting great body control. She’s a terrific ball handler and a solid passer who knows how to read angles. Angelina impressed on defense as a strong on-ball defender with quick hands who created havoc all day against the competition.

Being athletic is one thing, but pairing that with having a motor like no other makes you stand out throughout a game. Rebounding, on its own, may not be the first thing coaches look to evaluate a kid, but it’s a good indicator of how they play because it’s purely effort-based, and Reyes plays with loads of effort. She does her best work around the basket by drawing fouls around the rim and getting to the free-throw line. Dealing with her for 36 minutes is an absolute handful.

The Dominican guard plays with size, even if listed as 5’6. Reyes is an athletic kid who knows how to utilize her athleticism to help her team win games. She rebounds the ball at a high clip and loves to attack the glass. She’s pushing a double-double average with points and rebounds. As a 5’6 guard, that is unbelievable. Her motor will take her wherever she wants to go. You can’t teach that level of effort.
