Farmington 1-9 (2-19).

2024-25 Picks

1. Fremont— Fremont has a lot going for them this year as they do return a lot of players and they have some size that could bother teams. Fremont has two players that have made strides in their development that will help them on both ends of the floor and that is [player_tooltip player_id='796472' first='Abigail' last='Christensen']. She looks stronger and continues to use that inside/outside skill set. Look for her to be more in the perimeter this season as they do have some size in the paint that is more traditional back to the basket play. Sophia Valdez is another player that should have a very impactful season. Look for her to score 6+ PPG. She defends and she is lightning quick. [player_tooltip player_id='827419' first='Olivia' last='Surrage'] is another physical forward that Fremont can through out there that has a soft touch around the rim. [player_tooltip player_id='805280' first='Ava' last='Post'] is a lengthy wing that will cover a lot of ground, especially if Fremont plays that 2-3 zone.

1. Davis — This region will likely come down to hwho can steal a game away from home and iI can see both Davis and Fremont splitting. Davis will have a different look but they look good and they will be lead by steady PG T'Maea Etuati who is the real deal. She is a player that requires a lot of attention as she has the skills and the footwork to dismantle a defender that is not at her skill level. She will likely be among the top scorers in the state and assist leaders as well. [player_tooltip player_id='827408' first='Kate' last='Willard'] will be a solid addition in the sense that she will play more once she is done with soccer she should hit the ground running. Davis has been a next up mentality and this year is no different so look for some new name to rise.

3.Syracuse — Syracuse could easily win this region as they are a team that has a lot of size as well and with [player_tooltip player_id='796823' first='Maylee' last='Anderson'] out in the perimeter shooting lights out they could really spread the floor and get a lot of one on one's with Rachael McBride and a few more of their players with size. [player_tooltip player_id='866704' first='Olivia' last='Sorensen'] is another player that could be huge inside as she provides a true back to the basket post presence.

4. Weber — Weber will lean on [player_tooltip player_id='788329' first='Abby' last='Sayer'] a lot this season and as they should. Last season Sayer averaged 9 PPG, 4RPG she could add to those numbers. [player_tooltip player_id='827397' first='Avery' last='Shupe'] is a young player making her way up and she will play a lot more this season. [player_tooltip player_id='866693' first='Rylee' last='Jugler'] is a hidden talent that can shoot the ball and she plays with a strong motor. [player_tooltip player_id='978319' first='Logyn' last='Howell'] gives Weber some length in a region that has a lot of length on every team, she will help. Howell could be a game changer because she can rebound and shoot the ball. This makes Weber dangerous.

5. Farmington — Farmington has a chance to really turn things around this season. Breklyn Archibald is a solid shooter that could easily help them with her sharp shooting. Farmington could tap into a little bit of their size and that could help them spread the floor out. [player_tooltip player_id='866695' first='Morgan' last='Rogers'] is a solid post player that could score a few more points a game this season. Hailey Larson is a key player that is a rebounding machine. If they can continue to get that production on the boards and get her to score the ball a bit she could be more impactful.

6. Layton — Layton will have a new look with a new coach and one thing remains the same this season as it was last season and that is that they will need a lot of help from [player_tooltip player_id='815057' first='Roxy' last='Casper']. Casper was one of their best ball handlers this past season and she could be the key to getting this team into their offense and breaking pressure. [player_tooltip player_id='978312' first='Taya' last='Pace'] another guard with size will need to step her game up as last season she scored about 3 PPG. The Lancers will need more from her.

BIG Season Loading

[player_tooltip player_id='788329' first='Abby' last='Sayer']

[player_tooltip player_id='827408' first='Kate' last='Willard']

T'Maea Etuati

[player_tooltip player_id='796472' first='Abigail' last='Christensen']

Mayle Anderson

[player_tooltip player_id='849036' first='Brecklyn' last='Archibald']

[player_tooltip player_id='805280' first='Ava' last='Post']
