Concord Christian Lady Lions: Young Team Ready to Compete

The Concord Christian Lady Lions are ready to get after it and compete with other district foes. This team is young, but hungry. Fierce competitors who are ready to flex their muscles and go at the opposition. There has been a youthful injection in this program. Young cubs who are full of energy and that are fearless. New to the district, they may not know what's in front of them, however they are eager to battle and show others what they are made of.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Last season the Concord Lady Lions went 13-10 overall, finishing 4th in the district with a 8-4 record. Coach Brad Cochran will look to steer the ship as this club changes courses. They are in a tough district where other programs have gotten better (i.e. transfer kids or solid freshmen). However, he too has something special that will be ready to compete against them. The Lady Lions have been a solid program that is ready to come alive. They may not be seen as big time players at the top of the district, but they will be in the middle of the pack.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As this talent cultivates and this program's culture grows, look for them to start building towards something great. They may take their lumps this year, but will gain valuable experience along the way. Who knows what will happen. They may come out and shock everyone. Just know this group is going to compete from tipoff to the final horn, giving all attendees something fun to watch. A heady ball player who can be a pest when it comes to this game. Defensively, she has active hands, which enables her to get steals and deflections that lead to transition buckets. Offensively she can distribute with the best of them or knock down shots from multiple spots. This kid is still learning on the job, but she is out there having fun and getting better every time she takes the court. From knocking down shots to playing tenacious defense, this kid leaves everything she has on the hardwood. Plays the game with hustle and heart, she's tough on both ends of the floor. I love the fact that she never gives up on plays. Her effort speaks volumes and will spark a ball club's momentum. On the defensive end she can sit down and guard full court, turning the opposition, making them uncomfortable. Displays quick hands that enable her to poke balls loose. This kid is still growing, but look for her to add significant value to this Lady Lions club.
