Four Underrated 2026 Posts

Here are four posts who will play key roles around the rim for their squads this winter. They all have the size to defend the rim, the work rate to control the glass, and some underrated skill working around the rim. Check out some underrated posts heading into their junior seasons.    Drake will be a key post for the Spartans this winter who is probably flying a little under the radar because of the high-profile teammates she's played with. But she's a capable post who exhibits good fight around the rim, strong rebounding skills, and is a worker on the defensive end. She's definitely shown some flashes of skill scoring around the cup too and will be yet another name to watch for Sumner this winter.     She's a post with size who works hard, has identified her strengths, and can get up and down the floor. Keilman is solid around the rim on both ends. She consistently finds herself in good positions to make plays, can finish with both hands, works the offensive glass, and does a great job making herself big when defending the rim.     Gibbons is a real asset around the paint. She can pick and pop in the midrange, has the size and strength to finish among multiple defenders inside, and shows some skill to work through traffic inside and find openings. She could be a big improver from last year who plays a big role in their frontcourt.     Burns is a strong post for the Wildcats who can be a solid paint presence for them. She is a tough rebounder, fights through bodies to track down boards, and has some quick footwork to score from the blocks. She is a key post for them who brings physicality to the game and has the work rate to hold down the fort around the paint.
