Nashville Christian: Ready for a Breakthrough Basketball Season

They are hard working individual who hustle, play the game with precision, and compete every minute of the game. They are fundamentally sound and will dictate the game at their own pace. Sound familiar? Well if so, that's what Nashville Christian School is all about.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Last year, Nashville Christian was 15-9 overall and 9-5 in the district . They dropped some tough games, losing to teams that would make some noise in the tournament . Fast forward to today, these girls have been preparing for this moment to get back on the court and take action from their results last year. These girls are hungry. They know how special this program can be. Under the skillful eye of Coach Van Atta, these girls seem more prepared and equipped to go out and claim their place amongst some of the best .</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This season will be an interesting one for the Lady Eagles. They should finish in the top portion of their standings , getting a favorable draw when it comes to region play. This team has the personnel , are smart players, and if they play one possession at a time, no telling where this team can end up. Look for this squad to have a successful season with countless possibilities. Has great court vision, keen awareness of weaknesses in an opponent's defense, I love her ability to play with tempo and create space. She is a selfless ball player who can fill it up from all 3 levels, yet deliver timely dimes to her teammates at a moment's notice. Has a beautiful touch in her release and tight handles. This kid is a tough PG to defend. Transferring in is one of the best things for the NSC program. With her at the helm, she will create so many open opportunities for her teammates. Yes, 4! Talk about a determined individual who competes night in and night out. She was named district MVP as a freshman and has been competing at the high school level at a high clip since the 8th grade. She's back for her sophomore season and expect her to pick up where she left off last year. With more than 600 points already, averaging 17 points per game and 8+ rebounds, this kid is a walking double-double almost every time she steps onto the floor. Her ability to put the ball in the hoop from all 3 levels is pretty impressive. Look for her to continue to dazzle attendees and help the Lady Eagles soar to new heights this season. Look for her to come out with a vengeance and star in her role within this Lady Eagles attack.
