Now in their sophomore year, many players are beginning to crack the rotations and garner playing time. For others, they are focal points for their respective teams. They have already earned a starting spot or have been one of the first made substitutions. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Calabaza is a physical front-court player with good size and length that has next-level potential. Calabaza utilizes both good footwork and pure strength to cause havoc inside the paint area. However, Calabaza is capable of hitting both the mid-range jumper and the 3ball beyond the arc. </p>

<p>In 2023-24, Calabaza averaged 10.8 points -- on 41 percent -- with 6.7 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game for the Spartans. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Linares was just one of three players from the 2027 Class to earn an All-State nod this past season, obtaining an Honorable Mention in Class 3A. </p>

<p>The 5'4" shooting-guard was an 11.0 point per game scorer that finished with 34 treys this past season, while posting shooting splits of 36/29 (FG/3P). Moreover, Linares averaged 3.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 2.3 steals, affecting the game in a variety of ways.</p>

<p>Linares helped lead the Warriors to a 13-15 record overall and the No. 12 seed for the State Tournament. Ruidoso ultimately fell in the Round of 16, 54-32 to No. 5 Tucumcari. </p>

<p>Arrietta is an offensive minded guard with a quick first step. This past season, Arrietta accounted for a little more than 25 percent of the Elkettes points. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">As a team, Pojoaque averaged 37.0 points per game, while the 5'1" point-guard averaged 10.1 points. Arrietta shot a respectable 44 percent from the field which was tied for the second best percentage among the 2027 class.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Altamirano is a budding guard that is developing into one of the better floor-generals for the 2027 class. Altamirano does a good job of looking to establish early-offense with the kick-ahead or throw-ahead pass. Additionally, Altamirano is sneaky good at putting the ball on the floor and getting a bucket.</p>

<p>In 28 games played, Altamirano averaged 5.4 points, totaling 33 three-pointers for the Colts. The 33 made treys by Altamirano, was tied for the third most among the 2027 class for the 2023-24 season.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Kruckeberg is a high-energy player for Clovis Christian that gave all-around steady-play in 2023-24. In 23 games played, Kruckeberg averaged 4.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 2.8 steals and 0.6 blocks per game! </p>
