Tipton-Rosemark’s Lady Rebels: A Season of Hope and Hard Work

Over the last couple of years, Tipton-Rosemark hasn't had great luck in the women's game. Barred by injuries, tough schedules, and a solid district, it has been tough for this program to get on track. However, this is a new year filled with optimism.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Led by Coach Wilkinson, these Lady Rebels are ready to turn the corner. These girls have been working hard this offseason, committed to being accountable to each other, and have gotten up extra shots outside of their practice time. So far this season, they have dropped their first two contest, but there has been some promise shown in each of their games. The Lady Rebels are hoping this year that they can rewrite their luck and put together a solid season. In doing so, they would be establishing a solid footing for the future.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Though the season is still young, the Lady Rebels still have time to string together some wins and contend in the district. All is not lost at Tipton-Rosemark, these ladies just have to keep working hard and keep the faith. Their time is coming. This kid is the #1 option for the Lady Rebels and she contributes in every statistical category there is. A heady basketball player that gets after it. Possession by possession this kid fight tooth and nail for her basketball club. This kid is a gamer as she plays on both ends of the floor. Defensively, she is active, being in a stance and using her hands to get steals. Offensively, she can shoot it from multiple spots on the floor, especially from downtown. This kid plays with poise, can score it from multiple spots on the floor, and brings the energy like no other. She is solid on both ends of the floor, where she values each and every possession. She is head and shoulders better than her classmates, hence the reason why she is getting the early nod to contribute to this Lady Rebels ball club. She has a knack for being in the right position to obtain rebounds on both ends of the floor. She has solid moves around the blocks, where she can finish at the rim, kissing the square as the ball goes through the net. She is tough on the defensive end, physical down low, not giving the other team free looks while she contests and blocks shots.
