<p>The 2024-25 season is now more than a month removed from opening day. For some players and teams, several games are required in order for them to find their identities and rhythm. For others, they come out the gate scorching hot.</p>

<p>Here are some notable players who have gotten off to excellent starts from an individual standpoint. </p>

<p>Dyer, the no. 1 ranked player in the class of 2026, has gotten off to a great start for the Bears, shining on both ends of the floor. In eight games played, Dyer has averaged a smooth 21.2 points -- on 47 percent shooting -- 6.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.8 steals. Back in Week 4 (Dec. 15-21) Dyer notched her 1,000 career point in a 69-17 win @ Rio Grande. In that game, Dyer had a game-high 23 points, going 10/12 from the floor.</p>

<p>To this point, Espinoza, a savvy combo-guard, has put up a commanding 17.6 points per game for the Hawks. Additionally, Espinoza has averaged 2.6 assists and 3.0 steals. What's more, the senior has made 26 three-pointers, which is the fourth most in New Mexico.</p>

<p>Thus far in 2024-25, Giddings has been brilliant for the Matadors in the half-court posting an efficient 12.8 points on 50 percent shooting. On top of that, the senior shooting-guard has grabbed 4.8 rebounds and dished out 1.7 assists per game.</p>

<p>Quinones is quietly having an All-State caliber season for the Bulldawgs thanks to her all-around play. The versatile senior shooting-guard is averaging 13.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 3.6 steals per game, while shooting 48 percent from the field overall in 11 games played.</p>

<p>Anitielu, a dynamic shooting-guard, has averaged 12.9 points and 5.5 rebounds for the Scorpions in 11 games played. Furthermore, Anitielu comes away with 3.9 steals per game for Farmington which is the teams top mark.</p>

<p>Gomez is a hard-working combo-guard who has logged three Double-Doubles to date -- in 2024-25 -- for the Tigers. Gomez impacts the game on both ends and is currently averaging 11.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and a whopping 7.1 steals per game! </p>

<p>Emerging as a prominent option for the Rockets, is [player_tooltip player_id='1221587' first='Aubrie' last='Bolanos']. A 5'3" junior guard, who in 10 games played, is averaging 12.3 points on 43 percent shooting with 3.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists.</p>
