Facing a full-court faceguard and double teams every time she touched the ball, the Georgia College-signee was able to keep her cool and make all the right plays in an upset of short-staffed Lambert, 41-38. Beavin produced 11 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals, hitting back-to-back threes to ignite her scoring in the second quarter, sparking a 16-0 run after trailing 21-5 to open. Caroline plays with great balance and flow. She has deep three-point range off the catch and off the dribble. When she gets downhill, she's physical through contact. Caroline shot 5-6 from the line. Beavin has the tools and the demeanor to flourish at the next level.

The Pittsburgh soccer-commit made huge plays down the stretch for the Bulldogs. She used her length to block shots on the perimeter and was subtly crafty with the ball on offense, scoring with both hands and using an up-and-under move inside. Weslee finished with 11 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals and 3 blocks, scoring seven points in the fourth quarter.

The freshman showed a nose for the ball as she finished with 5 points, 4 rebounds and 6 steals. Faith was aggressive in the diamond press. She sank a one-dribble pull-up jumper and scored on a drive in the third quarter.

With [player_tooltip player_id='428434' first='Annarose' last='Tyre'] in street clothes with an injured wrist, the lead guard duties were pressed upon [player_tooltip player_id='727041' first='Parker' last='Whipple'] and freshman [player_tooltip player_id='1090096' first='Hadley' last='Sonmez']. The downhill guard sank a three to open up her scoring. She converted on a pair of drives, scored in transition and had an And-1 hoop off a cut. Whipple went 3-5 from the foul line and was a primary defender tasked with face guarding [player_tooltip player_id='371785' first='Caroline' last='Beavin'] 94-feet. Whipple managed a game-high 14 points, 1 rebound, 2 assists, 1 steal and 1 block in the loss.

Weyer had an eventful game, going down with an injury and getting a technical foul after shoving a player late in the game. Aside from the extracurricular activities, Mackenzie pitched in 10 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. Weyer scored on a left-handed putback and found two more hoops in transition. She went a perfect 4-4 from the foul line.

I came away impressed with Hadley as she was forced into a major role with [player_tooltip player_id='428434' first='Annarose' last='Tyre'] unavailable. Sonmez is comfortable handling the ball and has a quick first step. She is able to gain penetration and can kick to open shooters on the perimeter. Hadley scored on a drive and went 1-2 from the foul line. I like Sonmez's upside as a playmaker. She showed heart, corralling 3 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals.
