Meet the Stars of Moore Co. Lady Raiders’ Journey to Redemption

A hungry, fierce, competitive squad that plays the game the right way. They hustle, do the little things right such as set picks, cut with a purpose, and finish around the rim. Things like that bring solid results, which can take you a long way in this game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Last season, the Lady Raiders lost a heartbreaker in the state championship game to Pickett Co. 56-45. The girls obviously took it hard, but they each took that bad taste they had and used it as motivation this past offseason. So far this season, they are undefeated, coming out the gates fast and strong. This program has been a steady one, finishing at the top of the standings for the past couple of years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Led by Coach Chad Spencer, he returns a solid core of seniors who have some unfinished business to attend to. These girls are hungry for redemption. They have what it takes to make it back to the big dance, while laying a solid foundation for future Lady Raiders to follow. This offseason was Mission X, “return to the ship”. The 6'1 wing can play the 2-4 spots, spot up on the wing, post up on the interior, or utilize her dribble to get to favorable mid-range spots. Super talented when it comes to scoring the basketball. Plays with poise, doesn't force the issue. Defensively, she is solid. Keeping her opponent in front, uses her length to block shots, establishes herself on the boards, and wins the 50/50 battles. She's a tenacious player who will do whatever it takes to win a ball game. This kid plays with a motor and she gets it done on both ends of the floor. Utilizing her size and length she is effective and efficient each and every possession. A three level scoring threat, this kid goes hard and isn't afraid to challenge whoever is in front of her. Her pursuit is relentless and her energy is felt on both ends of the floor. She too is someone you need to keep tabs on as she is talented as all get out. Knows how to distribute the ball to where her teammate can score with ease, she too can pull it from the arc, or push the ball to get down hill to finish in the paint. She's solid on the defensive end, where she masters the skill of getting steals&nbsp; each and every game. A read and react kind of player who plays pressurized defense the full length of the game. This kid is solid, a heady ballplayer who plays with both pace and space, she knows when to exploit an opponent's weakness or give it up for someone else to have a better opportunity. So far this season, she has come out the gates strong.
