The third and final day of action saw nationally ranked teams get big wins, underdogs come out on top and superstar players dazzle the crowds! The best was saved for last, with St. John Vianney and St. Rose putting on a show at SJV in a near-capacity crowd!

[player_tooltip player_id='651503' first='Susie' last='Gentile'] | Hudson Catholic

Susie's tenacity on defense paid dividends! She helped ignite multiple fast breaks throughout the game by pressing and forcing opponents over at a rapid pace. She pushed the pace and converted scrappy defense into quick-hitting offense, resulting in a game-high 15 points. Her electricity was so much fun to watch!

[player_tooltip player_id='771777' first='Lauren' last='Gentile'] | Hudson Catholic

Lauren really had her way with the Life Center Academy! She manipulated the defense with her dribble and sliced through the lane to drop in pretty scoop layups. She was silky smooth from the mid-range where she created her own shot and stepped into some picture-perfect 15-footers. Her alertness on defense was sharp as she heckled and hounded the ball-handler. She finished with 14 points and showed off her efficient 3-level scoring.

[player_tooltip player_id='333354' first='Sofia' last='Valente'] | Immaculate Heart

The 5'11" Lafayette commit put IHA on her back and helped keep it close against a very good Scranton Prep (PA) squad. She was inextinguishable from 3-point land, catching fire early and finishing with four deep 3's; lethal long-range sniper! A vocal leader, she called plays and executed at a high level. She was just as impressive handling the ball as she was without it, displaying crisp off-ball rotations and quick repositioning around the arc. She willed her team and swung the momentum several times throughout the game with a tremendous effort, though IHA would eventually fall 58-44.

[player_tooltip player_id='559047' first='Lexi' last='Carnegie'] | Teaneck

After sitting out a majority of her sophomore season due to injury, Lexi is back and looking better than ever! She put forth a Herculean effort against a disciplined Union City team, leading her team with 25 points and earning Game MVP honors along the way. Her all-court game was on full display as she pulled down 8 rebounds and recorded 6 steals. Strong going to her left or right, she weaved her way through traffic and dropped in layups at a rapid pace. With mental fortitude and unwavering confidence, she put her head down and went to work!

[player_tooltip player_id='414293' first='Jaida' last='Guerra'] | Union City

For the second time in as many days, Jaida earned standout honors from Prep Girls Hoops. Though the Lady Eagles dropped a tough one to Teaneck by 10, J turned up the heat and led all scorers with 31 points. In fact, those 31 points were the highest of the entire day! Teaneck's defensive scheme was centered around stopping her, and while they may have won the game, that plan was a big fail. She wreaked havoc from all spots, sinking four 3's, popping from the mid-range and carving paths to the hoop with authority. Such an electrifying small guard!

[player_tooltip player_id='559085' first='Addison' last='Nyemchek'] | Red Bank Catholic

The state's top ranked junior (and nationally ranked at #51) went into turbo mode against perennial power South Shore (NY). She used every bit of her 6'1" frame to assert her dominance in and around the paint en-route to a game-high 19 points. Her length and relentlessness was a problem for the Lady Vikings who couldn't quite figure out how to successfully contain her. With size, speed and great versatility, she left the defense puzzled by creating mismatches which forced South Shore to be all out of sorts.

[player_tooltip player_id='835250' first='Aubrey' last='Newell'] | Paterson Eastside

Aubrey doesn't get talked about nearly enough but this girl can flat-out hoop! She put in work against Cheltenham (PA) and led her team with 13 points, including three triples. Feisty and fiery, she exudes confidence every time she takes the court. She's stepping into a bigger role in Year 2 and is already making things shake, averaging just under 15.0 ppg through the first three games of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='559135' first='Stella' last='Lockhart'] | St. John Vianney

Stella came up big in the second half of a marquee matchup with St. Rose. She was physically imposing and dominated the paint area, pouring in a team-best 15 points. She battled through contact and was able to create and-1 situations for herself at the line. A beast on the boards, she pulled down 7 rebounds with commanding force. She is nothing to be toyed with underneath the basket! Instead of shying away from contact, she fully embraces it; the more intense the physicality, the more she thrives! Stella's stock continues to rise exponentially.

[player_tooltip player_id='559070' first='Jada' last='Lynch'] | St. Rose

St. Rose may have dropped a close one to SJV but Jada was the best player on the floor. In fact, she was the best player I got eyes on all weekend long. In front of coaches from Duke, TCU and Vanderbilt, to name a few, she dazzled the crowd with an array of elite moves, from a hesi dribble that had defenders stumbling, to Euros and reverse layups that drew audible gasps from the crowd, myself included! She is arguably the strongest guard in the state with a physical game that can easily overpower defenders. She did a lot more than score, however! She crashed the glass with the bigs, moved the ball with a purpose, dished out sweet dimes and made her presence felt on defense. A superstar in the making!

[player_tooltip player_id='559825' first='Belle' last='Alvarado'] | St. Rose

I was so impressed with Belle's play tonight! She was absolutely fearless going up against a nationally ranked team (by MaxPreps) in SJV. A gritty, hard-nosed defender who forced a slew of turnovers and kicked off the fast break for SR. She handled the ball with care and showed tremendous poise. When the Lady Lancers upped the ante, so did Belle! She was confident in her shot selection and remained cool under pressure, knocking down a deep 3-point dagger in crunch time late in the 4th. Excellent job on both sides of the ball today.
