I was very impressed with Journey. Waller is a strong athlete who is unafraid of the opposition no matter their size. She attacked Greenforest's length and turned defense into offense, scoring off three steals. Waller's nose for the ball led to her leaping up to deflect passes to initiate fastbreaks. With the ball in her hands, Journey got to the rim with both hands and dropped in floaters. She is a good passer off the dribble, able to probe baseline and find the open man. Journey finished with a game-high 21 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist and 8 steals. Only a sophomore, Waller has legitimate upside. Her aggressive energy on both ends should draw collegiate attention. Her outside shot will need to continue to improve but Journey did sink a straightaway three and helped open up the defense. Keep [player_tooltip player_id='901021' first='Journey' last='Waller']'s name in mind moving forward.

Melody contested entry passes to the high post, shooting in front of Greenforest's bigs like a cornerback to break up completions. At 5-foot-5, Melody employs a sturdy build that allows her to play bigger than her size. Her impact was felt primarily on defense but she did add a three-pointer, finishing with 5 points, 2 rebounds and 6 steals.

Dunn was able to match Greenforest's elite length. The freshman is long and wiry but has serviceable coordination and balance. De'Nadia came off the bench to contribute as a rebounder and shot blocker. She scored on a putback, finishing with 4 points, 6 rebounds and 1 block. The physical tools are in place for Dunn to blossom into a college prospect. I'm interested in following her progress.

Little collected 8 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 block. She scored off a drive, a steal and a putback while going 2-2 from the line. Listed at 5-foot-8 and one of the taller players on the Putnam roster, Little was big with her presence in the painted area.

Out of all the elite-sized eye candy that Greenforest has, Aminata might be the best long-term prospect. Listed at 6-foot-4, Aminata is athletic and active. She has lean muscle on her frame and uses her size well, really good at ducking in for high-low looks, sealing deep in the paint. Aminata's best buckets came on dropsteps and floaters. She has an understanding of what moves to make with her back to the basket. When she turns around and fades from contact for short jumpers, she isn't as effective as when she is moving toward the rim on her finishes. Ndiaye finished with 11 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks. While she can stand to polish up some things, if she is only a sophomore she is a in a very good spot with her development. I spoke with a D-I coach days later and they agreed with me that Aminata has D-I upside.

Achol posted 14 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 7 blocks. With her immense height, Marianah does a splendid job of keeping the ball high once she catches it. When she sticks it straight in the air, it is nearly impossible for anyone to reach it. Achol scored on a pair of putbacks and two high-low feeds, working extremely well with [player_tooltip player_id='1105938' first='Aminata' last='Ndiaye']. She shot 2-9 from the line. Her defense will likely be her calling card at the next level.

Andela was stuck playing point guard with the Eagles shorthanded. Out of her natural position, more of a forward, Andela did the best she could against a scrappy Putnam County team. She put up 10 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal. Mirkovic netted a pull-up three in the first quarter and scored seven points in the fourth, hitting another long ball before scoring with her left hand on a cut and converting an And-1 on a long floater.
