As we enter the new year, district play is in full effect. Teams have had a chance to get their footing this past week, coming off of Christmas break where they played in tournaments at different locations. I thought of a fun exercise to do just to see where teams would fall.

What if all teams were thrown into a single pot. Eliminate the classification, I am talking about NCAA style. What if the state at a Top 25 similar to what you might see on ESPN. Coaches, media, and scouts would vote for teams and throw them into a ranking. Of course record would be a factor as well as strength of schedule. However, I do know something like this would be tough because the state is too large where some schools wouldn't see each other or even play each other. Hypothetically, let's just say all that was thrown by the wayside and teams went toe to toe no matter the classification. Add in a tournament style bracket with only one state champion, talk about something that would be cut throat.

Anyways, I took a crack at forming a Top 25 ranking for clubs all across the state. I did my best to find reported scores to gauge strength of schedule, however, records and districts were taken into consideration. Though this isn't perfect, this was still a fun exercise that could be debatable. At the time of this writing, not all clubs have played each other. So therefore who knows where or what the outcome would be.
