Lay is proving to be an undeniable force on defense this season, averaging 2.7 blocks per game with a total of 27 so far. Standing at 5'9", she combines her height, vertical leap, and sharp instincts to guard the rim like a seasoned pro. While her scoring statistics have certainly caught the eye, it's her defensive impact that truly sets her apart. As a freshman, she's already averaging 4 steals per game, showing off her athleticism and court awareness. Her ability to create turnovers has turned into easy fast-break opportunities, helping her team secure victories. Several games have seen her rack up 6 or more steals, all contributing to wins. Perez's early season dominance on defense not only motivates her teammates but also signals a bright future for this defensive powerhouse.     Nussle is making her presence felt on both ends of the court this season, especially with her dominant shot-blocking ability. Averaging 2.6 blocks per game, her impressive 28-inch vertical leap and 6'4" wingspan make it nearly impossible for opponents to get a clean shot over her. She excels at keeping opponents in front of her, using her athleticism and grit to shut down offensive plays. While defense is undoubtedly her strong suit, Nussle is also a consistent contributor on the offensive end, providing her team with exactly what they need to stay competitive. Despite her team's tough start, the junior has been a beacon of consistency, consistently racking up steals and embracing the competition. Averaging 3.9 steals per game, Yarbrough currently ranks 3rd in the Northern Section.
