<p>With seven weeks down, the 2024-25 season for girls' high school basketball is nearly half-way done. In spite of that, the buzz has yet to fizzle out thanks to brilliant performances from an individual standpoint. Here are some standouts from this past week (Jan. 5-11).</p>

<p>Medrano, a hardworking senior forward, logged a team-high 16 points -- on 8/10 shooting -- 8 rebounds and 3 assists for Goddard in a 51-45 win at Roswell. This now evens the season series 1-1 for Goddard and Roswell.</p>

<p>Robertson easily handled Pojoaque Valley 55-27 on Tuesday night thanks to four players having double-digit outings. Smith, a senior forward, tallied a team-high 12 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. In all, Smith shot 4/5 from the floor and 4/6 from the charity-stripe.</p>

<p>On Tuesday night, the Farmington Scorpions defeated the Aztec Tigers, 67-27. Parrish had 17 points for the Scorpions to go along with 5 rebounds and 8 assists. </p>

<p>The versatile Castro finished with a team-high 22 points in a 61-30 win over Gadsden on Jan 7. The 31-point victory gave Lovington their third straight win at that point in time. </p>

<p>Hunt went 5/9 from the field and 3/6 from the foul-line en rout to 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks. Furthermore, the senior forward was the only Centennial player to reach double-figures on Saturday vs Carlsbad in the 10-point win.</p>

<p>It was a solid outing for Pacheco, particularly from behind the arc. The senior put up 18 points, on 7/11 shooting which includes making 4/7 three-point attempts, and 6 rebounds in the Bulldawgs 64-40 win over the Coyotes.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='648196' first='Adeline' last='Spratley'] | Albuquerque Academy | 2026</p>

<p>Spratley posted a team-high 26 points, 9 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 blocks for the Chargers in a 58-46 win at home vs the Monarchs. What's more, the 5'11" junior made 10/12 free-throws.</p>

<p>Ruiz, a 5'5" senior point-guard, had a commanding 18 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists and 5 steals for the Trojans on Jan. 10 Moreover, Ruiz was the only Mayfield player to make more than two field-goals on the night, going 8/15. </p>

<p>Tucumcari rolled past Bosque 74-22 in their lone game during week 7. Benavidez, a sophomore guard, posted a team-high 22 points on 9/12 shooting with 8 rebounds and 4 steals. </p>

<p>Valdivia's career-high 18 points and 8 steals helped St. Michael's get the 56-17 win against Socorro. This happened to also be the second game of Valdivia's career in which she scored 10+ points (11 points on 12/02 in a 27-43 (L) vs Santa Fe during the 2023-24 season)</p>

<p>Hines continues to put up sensational numbers no matter what uniform and State she is in. The dynamic 5'10" combo-guard -- and LSU commit -- dropped 48 points for ABC Prep this past weekend in Kentucky. Additionally, Hines grabbed 6 rebounds and dished out a pair of assists. </p>

<p>Espinoza notched her 1,000 career point this past week, becoming the 12th player from the class of 2025 to reach the milestone. As of now, the savvy Espinoza has scored 1025 points in 91 games played while also totaling 160 three-pointers made.</p>

<p>At the moment, Rodriguez has 218 career treys moving her to the Top 10 All-Time for three-pointers made in New Mexico. The lefty sniper passes former UNM guard and Volcano Vista standout, Jaelyn Bates, who had 217 from 2018-2022. </p>
