Having a lead guard, like Tassoul, has given De Pere a person to initiate the offense. They trust her to take care of the ball and be a threat to get past defenders off the dribble. She's been the player that teams likely prepare for the most on the defensive end when game-planning against De Pere because everything starts with her. She's a significant reason the Red Birds are where they are.

Pewaukee and Pius generate attention in the Woodland Conference, especially in the West Division. However, Ward and Whitnall have been as dominant in the Eastern half of the conference. Ward has thrived in her junior season and has had career highs in every category. She's an athletic kid who can get downhill, and she's physically come along, which has helped her consistency in her perimeter shooting. She's been a kid who's found ways to get to the basket, but adding a more consistent perimeter threat adds another dimension to her game.

Nobody plays the "connector" role at Neis' level. No matter where you put her on the floor, she'll find ways to make winning plays. The 5'10 Oregon wing can play on the perimeter, never shoot, and control a game from start to finish. That's not normal. She's an excellent cutter, passer, rebounder, and defender, and even though she doesn't shoot, the Panthers will give her consistent perimeter touches to pass through gaps in the defense. As far as I'm aware, she doesn't have an interest in playing at the next level, but she's a unicorn in her own right. She could find ways to get anyone a couple of baskets in a game.

Spencer has needed Davis to be a volume shooter since she stepped on the floor a few years ago. However, this is Davis' best season to date. There are games, like on the road against Edgar, where Davis is willing Spencer to compete. Competitive sports are about wins and losses. Davis's shot-making may not shine due to the attention she draws from opposing defenses, but it's noteworthy how scared good small-school programs are to leave her open with time to get her shot off. Small schools should watch her play at some point.
