The Central Coast Section's sophomores are taking their game to the next level, building off strong freshman seasons and proving they're here to stay. With a year of experience under their belts, these players are stepping up as key contributors, refining their skills, and making an even bigger impact on both ends of the floor. Whether it's improved scoring, stronger defense, or heightened leadership, they're showing growth that promises even greater things in the seasons ahead. As they continue to develop, this sophomore class is one to watch—not just this year, but for the next two as they push their teams to new heights.    Williams, a dynamic shooter with a sharp basketball IQ, is proving to be a key playmaker in her second season. Whether she's draining shots from deep or threading the perfect pass to an open teammate, she's making all the right decisions to keep her team on top. Averaging nearly 20 points per game, Williams has delivered multiple standout performances, including crucial games where she led her squad to victory. Her leadership on the court is evident, as her team hasn't suffered a loss since last December. Whether scoring or facilitating, she's setting the pace for success and showing why she's one to watch as she continues to develop her game.     Throughout the season, Buckley's shooting has evolved into a full-court weapon. Initially, she played a more controlled game, using her 5'10" frame to dominate inside the arc with strong finishes at the rim and mid-range jumpers. But as the season has progressed, her confidence from beyond the arc has skyrocketed—knocking down 11 threes in her last three games. With this expanded offensive arsenal, she's proving to be a dynamic scoring threat, elevating her game to an exciting new level.     Williams is another guard unafraid to fire from anywhere on the floor, racking up threes at an impressive rate while leading her team in efficient scoring. But one of the most telling numbers in her game is her free throw conversions. Despite not having the height advantage, she's fearless in attacking the paint, using her body to draw contact and get to the line. Her ability to earn and convert those free points speaks to her basketball IQ and aggressiveness. As she moves into the next two seasons, it'll be exciting to see her continue this level of smart, high-impact play.     Ocampo averaged 16 points per game this season, proving that her 5'2" frame is no obstacle to her scoring ability. A consistent and efficient shooter, she's shown impressive accuracy both inside the arc—where she's posted flawless shooting nights—and from deep, where she continues to be a threat. Her ability to score at a high level with such reliability makes her a standout player to watch.     Salas is a dynamic multi-sport athlete who keeps opponents guessing with her ability to score and disrupt plays on defense. While she consistently puts up points on the scoreboard, it's her defensive dominance that truly sets her apart. Averaging 3.9 steals per game, she's relentless in pursuit of loose balls, jumping passing lanes, and capitalizing on weak dribbles. Her leadership shines on both ends of the floor, making her a key player in her team's success.
