CIF Central Section Finals: D3 Players You Should Know About

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Selland Arena will be the place the to be in the Central Valley this weekend if you're a fan of fast pace, high quality high school hoops. The Division 3 matchup is one of my favorites, and hand up I did not expect to see the #8 seed Shafter playing #2 Liberty for the final. Liberty, looks battle tested from their league play, poised to bring home a title. Standing in their way is an incredibly fun team watch from Shafter. I've been impressed this playoffs with Shafter's poise, energy and ridiculously active hands on defense. Very fluid midrange game in the half court and transition. She not only impacts the game with her scoring, but has very active hands defensively to create deflections and transition opportunities for her squad. Very hard worker on the glass, creating 3-4 extra opportunities for her team a night. I was most impressed throughout the playoffs with her consistent wall ups and shot contest at the rim without fouling. Very quick, and always looking to attack off the bounce. I've was impressed with her ability to get downhill against Sierra not only to score, but with vision to see kick-outs and dump offs during help rotations. I have been impressed with Shafter defense, and Kyla has been a huge part of that. She had a steal, a deflection, and a block all in a 5 minutes span against Sierra.
