She scored 5 of the WC's first 13, and finished the 1st half with 8 of her teams 22 points! She got it done from beyond the arc, and at the rim. The biggest way she had a winning impact was on the defensive end. She displayed championship level hustle, flying around in WC's press and half court defense. She also did a great job keeping people in front with active hands. She consistently made the right play and took care of the basketball. I was impressed with her IQ, and decision making regarding when to advance the ball, and when to attack. Rip, attack and score, rip stop and hit pull up, rip and get to the rim, rip and find your teammate for a dime. Rowan was teaching lessons to the young hoopers in the crowd on all the different ways to rip and make good things happen. Sophia showed a tight handle, the ability to deal with pressure, and really impressive vision off the bounce + as a flasher/cutter. It was clear to see she scans the floor, and makes decisions early and often. Rim protector, that can hold her own on the perimeter. Extra possessions are key this time of the year, and she creates a lot with her work on the O glass. I was most impressed with her game out of the high post. Every time she caught the ball at the high post, something positive happened for Folsom.
