Region 1-6A Standouts Part 1

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Region 1-6A had talent across every team in the region. The senior heavy region also saw a lot of underclassmen make a name for themselves for this season. Every game was a game of match ups and a different player was a top performer each night. A player that never gets tired and lets her defense fuel her offense. She takes pride in taking charges and sacrificing her body to score through contact. A player that can score at all 3 levels. A player that can lure you to sleep and then get downhill quickly. She knows how to use her body to score through the contact at the rim. When you take away her drives to the basket, she has the ability to knock down the 3 ball. A player that controls the tempo of the game and is not afraid to pick you up 94 feet on defense. One of the top defenders in the state this season. A player whose IQ is far beyond her sophomore year. She knows how to score at all 3 levels and has one of the purest mid-range jump shots. One of the best ball handlers in the state which allows her to dissect defenses. A player who is a true shooting guard but has point guard tendencies. A player that draws a face guard every game and wants the ball in her hands in clutch situations. Her ability to move without the basketball is how she gets her shot off. The leading scorer in the region who has range once she steps on the floor. Her 5'11 frame allows her to defend all 5 positions but also helps her on offense. A player that can shoot over most defenders and rattle off the 3 ball at any given time. Her scoring average went up as the season progressed averaging over 14 ppg. A player that has one of the best shooting forms especially from behind the arc. Her ability to score from different places on the floor, which makes it tough to guard her. What stood out most to me this season was her ability to score in clutch situations. When her team needs a basket, Thomas knows how to score. A player that led her team in scoring at 10.6 ppg and 7.9 rpg. Her ability to score over defenders and finish at the rim. A 5'11 playmaker who knows how to score at will. What stood out most was her ability to rebound, and her fluid mid-range jump shot. Bloom will only get better over the summer.
