<p>With the state tournaments looming and teams securing their spots for a chance to win a state title, I took a look into each district within each class to see who's headed to the state tournaments. Here is District 2's 3A tournaments within the Metro League and KingCo for spots in the District 2 3A tournament.</p>

<p>In the Metro league, the top 6 teams automatically qualify for districts and will play each other for seeding. To sum it up quickly since no teams were eliminated, here's how the Metro Championship finished:</p>

<p>First: Eastside Catholic</p>

<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>Second: Garfield</p>

<p>Third: Lakeside (Seattle)</p>

<p>Fourth: Roosevelt </p>

<p>Now here's how the Metro League Qualifiers went as the other 6 teams battled for 2 spots. Bishop Blanchet beat Ingraham, 71-22. Seattle Academy beat Rainier Beach, 62-38. </p>

<p>The winners of those games would play each other for a spot in districts. Bishop Blanchet would beat Seattle Academy, 43-40. In the other half of the bracket, Ballard would defeat Franklin, 59-50 to advance to play Holy Names, who had a bye. Holy Names Academy would beat Ballard, 55-43 to advance to districts and ending Ballard's season. Holy Names would beat Bishop Blanchet in a seeding game, 67-63 though both would advance on. </p>

<p>Now onto the 3A KingCo tournament.</p>

<p>In the play-in game between the 6th seed Interlake and 7th seed Highline, Interlake defeated 68-42 to advance. In a loser out game the next round, 3rd seed Liberty (Renton) defeated 6th seed Interlake to advance. 4th seed Inglemoor beat 5th seed Sammamish, 53-28 to advance, ending Sammamish's season.</p>

<p>In the semi-final rounds, all 4 teams will head to the District 2 3A tournament. 1 seed Bellevue defeated 4th seed Inglemoor, 54-37. 3 seed Liberty (Renton) would upset 2 seed Mercer Island, 51-37.</p>

<p>In the KingCo Championship game, 3 seed Liberty (Renton) would upset top seeded Bellevue and take home the league championship. 2nd seed Mercer Island would beat 4 seed Inglemoor, 59-49 in the third place game.</p>
