CIF State Playoffs: Semi Final Guard Standouts

Last night in the Open, D1 and D2 CIF Semi Finals there was a plethora of solid guards battling it out. I was able to catch multiple crafty, smooth smaller guards, as well multiple bigger athletic guards! Regardless of the style of guard you like to watch or recruit, there was something for everyone! Her ability to get downhill was on full display during the CIF Open Semi Final. She does a phenomenal job being patient coming off screens, and changing speeds to keep defenders off balance. 3 level scorer + has crafty footwork and balance to get to her floater in traffic. Big, physical guard who relentless attacks the basket and is comfortable finishing through contact. Drastically impacts the game with her work on the offensive glass. Super composed when pressured, very hard to speed up in the full or half court. I watched her communicate defensive assignments and quick fixes to teammates during free throws and dead balls.
