<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On <strong>March 7<sup>th,</sup></strong> the <strong>Open Division Basketball Championship</strong> took place at <strong>Veterans Memorial Coliseum</strong>. It was the #2 <strong>Millennium</strong> <strong>Tigers</strong> taking on #9 <strong>Valley Vista Monsoon</strong>. From the opening tipoff, <strong>Millennium</strong> was out to make a statement with their defense. Their pressure defense allowed them to build up a first-quarter double-digit lead. A run by the <strong>Monsoon </strong>got them within 4 during the 2<sup>nd</sup> quarter. At the half, <strong>Millennium</strong> had a 31-18 lead. She was on a different level from everyone in the game. It's not often a player outscores an entire team, especially in a championship game. She was very efficient in her floor play and facilitating the ball to her teammates.
